Super Heros

Since "The Avengers" hit theaters, discussion of heroes and super heroes seems to be everywhere. But, what is a superhero? Check this out and don't be surprised if this describes you in Christ.

- Every hero is someone who is victorious over challenges and often seemingly insurmountable odds.
- Without struggles and difficulties; there would be no hero.
- A hero continues in the face of doubt, opposition and uphill battles.
- A hero is someone who does not give up.
- The hero does not fully grasp his or her capacity until tested. It is the very test that reveals the hero's ability to triumph.

Give thanks, therefore, for your struggles and difficulties.  They shake your soul and release God’s glory.

Speaking of Super Heros, we found this video online today and think this young student is pretty amazing!

I bet this is one of the reasons that Jesus says we need the heart of a child to enter the Kingdom of Heaven...Lord, give me the strength to be like a child, and the wisdom to teach my own...SOOO beautiful!

By deffinition a super hero is that of a fictional character who does super things. So by deffinition Jesus Christ is not a super hero yet a man who was capable of doing super things. Jesus can be considered a hero but since he does exist I dont feel comfortable calling him a super hero.

I personally appreciate my Lord's "super" on my natural; in Christ, I have begun to grasp my "supernatural" abilities while - at 60 years "young" - returning to school for CNA-1 & have been victorious over the challenge of thinking outside the box, cramming for exams & state certifications often against insurmountable odds but persevering in the face of doubt & opposition.  We [Jesus & me] didn't give up & we graduated with a 4.0 GPA but it took us 3 tries to pass the state test.  Today, we have triumphed with being hired to our dream job at Providence where we can share His amazing "healing touch" & not fear getting fired... I give thanks for my struggles; they have shaken my soul, releasing ALL glory to Father for His strength that dwells in me to be a light in someone's darkness. We're headed back to school for CNA-2 classes in 20 more days...  And ALL glory goes to Father for the strength to persevere...  Thanks for the encouraging words; with Christ, I'm finally becoming the person my dog & cat believe I am... a super-woman!
