Home Remedies

I have a bee hive under my deck, was told to use Dawn Liquid Soap with water to instantly get rid of them. What home remedies do you have to get rid of bees or bugs? Tell us your answer here or on Facebook.

THE BEES: I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM WITH HORNETS. A COUNTY EXTENSION OFFICER SAID TO USE 7DUST. YOU DUST THE AREA, (HIV), AT NIGHT. THE BEES THEN ENTER AND EXIT THROUGH THE 7DUST. THIS TAKES THE POWDER IN TO THE HIV AND KILLS OTHERS. YOU MAY DUST AT DARK FOR ANY BEE. STAY SAFE YOU GUYS! LOVE YOUR SHOW IN THE MORNINGS!

These are hornets/wasps not bees.
Wait until dusk - they return to their hive at dusk or dark (the darker the better).  Although the "home remedies" I have tried haven't worked, I have been able to get rid of them with wasp spray.  This stuff is AMAZING!! I don't have to get close to the hive - I can spray it from 20 feet away!  Then I RUN!!!!  After I have sprayed I wait until the next day, and get a HUGE garbage bag and set the bag under the hive - and knock the hive into the garbage bag.
I have been told to leave the hive, because the wasps are territorial and will not create another hive with the old one left behind

If they are honey bees call a bee guy...don't kill them.  Frown I know they aren't fun to have around if you aren't farming honey, but a bee farmer would probably take them out for you.  If they're BIG and FUZZY you may have carpenter bees.

The picture doesn't look like it is "under a deck"  Honey bees should never be killed but call someone official as honeybees are dying off so we shouldn't be killing them....the picture is of a wasp nest.
