Make A Difference Monday!

We are really excited about Make A Difference Monday, and we are hoping that it's a simple reminder about how much of a difference you can make.  The Bible says that it is kindness that leads people to repentance, who knows how God will use the kind things that you do to bless and encourage someone else.  There are so many people that need that today.  Maybe it's buying someone a cup of coffee in line behind you, or taking somebody out to lunch... It doesn't take a whole lot, just remember this "Little things don't mean alot... Little things mean everything!"  Thanks for looking for ways that you can Make A Difference!  Please share what you've done...or what someone has done for you!

Unsung Survival

The Unsung Hero Winner was Eileen from Martinez, CA here is her Unsung Hero:

Sara Blue has always been there for me. She helped to save my life more than once. Helping me find freedom from addictions and guiding me back to Jesus. She helped me be the best mother I could be for my daughter Eden Grace when I was newly sober and a single mother. Now I have three years of meaningful recovery and just got married to the man of my dreams, who she introduced me to! Sara is my best friend and a strong sister in Christ and I owe my new life to her and that's why she is my Unsung Hero.

Tips for Dealing with Online Criticism, by Rachel Held Evans

Wait. Don't respond too quickly. Calm down first!

Engage the positive. Don't give too much power to the "negative." Honor the honest, positive feedback you get.

Don’t feel the need to respond to criticism that is intended to cause dissention.

Apologize if you have made a mistake!

Don’t let the praise carry you too high or the criticism drag you down too low.

What can you learn from Sea World???

I am so sad about the loss of Sea World trainer named Dawn Brancheau, who was killed by a Killer Whale.  I had met her a number of years ago at Sea World in Orlando.

Her passing was such a shock, and a reminder to each of us to just how fragile life can be.  It should be a reminder to all of us just how important it is to reach out and share Christ with our friends and family members.

Who would you like us to pray for???
