Take Action

As a parent you dream about your kid’s future, you dream of what they’ll grow up to do, where they’ll go to college, who they’ll marry… but for millions of parents around the world they simply don’t get that chance, instead they dream of their child seeing another sunrise. By the time the day is over, there will sadly be 20,000 children, under the age of 5, who will no longer be here.  Time is of the essence, and right now you can help save one of these kids.

Last year, we added a member to our family through World Vision child sponsorship, little Petronila, from Kenya, who without the help of World Vision may not be here.  She is now 4 1/2 years old and has hope for the first time in her life.  I am grateful that we get to play a part in her being able to dream beyond tomorrow, and excited about what God has for store for her in the years ahead.

I hope that you will join K-LOVE and World Vision in taking “Love Around The World.” For over six decades, World Vision has been caring for the World’s children, offering them the love and hope of the Gospel, caring for them as Jesus shared in Matthew 25,

I was hungry and you fed me,
I was thirsty and you gave me a drink,
I was homeless and you gave me a room,
I was shivering and you gave me clothes,
I was sick and you stopped to visit,
I was in prison and you came to me.

‘Master, what are you talking about? When did we ever see you hungry and feed you, thirsty and give you a drink? And when did we ever see you sick or in prison and come to you?’ Then the King will say, ‘I’m telling the solemn truth: Whenever you did one of these things to someone overlooked or ignored, that was me—you did it to me.’

You never lose by loving, but you will always lose by holding back, the Bible makes that very clear. In 1 Timothy 6:17-19 (The Message), Paul writes, “Tell those rich in this world’s wealth to quit being so full of themselves and so obsessed with money, which is here today and gone tomorrow. Tell them to go after God, who piles on all the riches we could ever manage—to do good, to be rich in helping others, to be extravagantly generous. If they do that, they’ll build a treasury that will last, gaining life that is truly life.”

Before you exclude yourself, with ‘oh, I am not rich’, know that if you make minimum wage in the United States, you are richer than 75% of the World’s population. Together we can make a difference, by the end of this month, you can be a part of changing lives around the World, offering them the Hope we have in Christ and demonstrating His great love!  Let’s change the World, One child at a time!
