Willing... Not 'Perfect!'

“God needs people who are willing…not perfect." I shared that on twitter yesterday because it is such a great reminder that in spite of our faults and failures, God can and will use us if we are ‘WILLING.'

I hope it serves as a reminder that God wants to use you to ‘make a difference' in the world. He chose ‘you’ to be a world changer! God wants to work through you! As Pastor Rick Warren writes in Purpose Driven Life, “What matters is not the ‘duration’ of your life, but the ‘donation’ of it. Not how ‘long’ you have lived, but ‘how’ you have lived.”

Pastor Warren then shares this great picture of how God, throughout history, uses us in spite of our brokenness.

“Abraham was old, Jacob was insecure, Leah was unattractive, Joseph was abused, Moses stuttered, Gideon was poor, Samson was codependent, Rahab was immoral, David had an affair and all kinds of family problems, Elijah was suicidal, Jeremiah was reluctant, Naomi was a widow, John the Baptist was eccentric to say the least, Peter was impulsive and hot tempered, Martha worried a lot, the Samaritan woman had several failed marriages, Zacchaues was unpopular, Thomas had doubts, Paul had poor health, and Timothy was timid.”

That is a quite a collection of misfits, but God used every one of them! God wants to use ‘you’ too; all you have to do is quit making excuses. We are reminded of this in Ephesians 2:10,

“For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God, which God prepared in advance for us to do.”

Make A Difference Tour, Nashville

We were in Nashville last week for the Make A Difference Tour. It was an amazing experience! We were able to come face to face with so many incredible listeners who have given up their time to come out, serve, and show their hearts. We were joined with so many artists and they have been saying that this was such a great experience and they can't wait to do it again. This feeling is really contagious and we hope that wherever you are, you will be able to plug in and make a difference.
