Walking Hand in Hand

Our pastor at Bayside Church shared this over the weekend: "As Americans we live in a diverse country which means... that there are going to be people that occasionally express an opinion different than yours. In my view that is a very good thing because it adds richness and tapestry to our culture. It becomes a bad thing when those disagreements are expressed in hostile ways. Immature people love to pour gas on fires and enjoy watching the destruction. As a culture we need two things: 1. Strong Convictions and 2. Civility. Maturity is walking hand in hand when you don't see eye to eye." Pastor Ray Johnston

Two Day Cliff Hanger

California Hiker Clinging to Cliff for Two Days Rescued Just in Time. Good Morning America

A 64-year-old hiker who became stranded after taking a wrong turn and spent more than two days clinging to a sheer cliff face in California’s Sierra National Forest said his strength was slipping away and that the rescue team came just in time.

“I’ve never been in position to say, you know, ‘How much am I willing to do to stay alive?’” Bishop said Tuesday. “I basically stayed awake all night and wrote a goodbye letter to my wife and daughter.”
