A giant Burmese python found in the Florida Everglades has set a record for its size, spanning 17 feet 7 inches, and weighing almost 165 pounds. But it wasn't just the outside that set records: Scientists discovered the python was carrying 87 eggs.

Previous records for Burmese pythons captured in the area were 16.8 feet long and 85 eggs, according to the University of Florida.

The snake is just the latest evidence of Florida's growing problem with the exotic, highly adaptable species that has a  foothold in Everglades National Park and increasingly threatens native wildlife. Florida is believed to have the world's worst invasive reptile and amphibian problem. (Last year, a python made headlines when it was found to have devoured a 76-pound whitetail deer.)

Maybe Scott could be the first male model for 'The Price is Right.'

Have you always wanted to show off flashy cars and cozy new living room sets on national television? "The Price is Right" may be famous for Bob Barker (and now Drew Carey)'s lovely ladies, but now "The Price is Right" is holding a contest to find its first male model.

In the game show's nearly 40-year history, the prizes have almost always been displayed by female models, but now one guy will get to try out the gig for a week on the CBS show, which is currently hosted by Drew Carey.

If you're tired of waiting in line at your favorite restaurant, a new app made by a Portland developer could solve the problem.

"Tables Up" launched this month in Portland.

The app estimates the wait time to get a table at some of Portland's most popular restaurants.
