First, I'll start by saying that I am a foster parent to teen girls, so as my pastor tells me, I have my own mini-ministry.
But this past weekend, I took my my two current foster daughters, plus two of my former foster daughters (which have been reunited with their families) to Knotts Berry Farm (amusement park in CA) for their annual Halloween Haunt. It was a great time watching them have fun and be scared for the night.
The best part was, collectively, the girls decided they wanted to donate their left over "fun money allowance" given to them for the park to "Scary for Charity" a local charity that benefits the Partnership for Children and Families.
I feel blessed to have there girls in my life.

Before I tell you what I am doing, I could NOT be doing this without God getting all the glory first. Allow me to explain. I applied for a job as a maintenance tech with the Arkansas Department of Correction over a year and a half ago. When I went into the interview, I gave God the glory first and said I work for Him first and the ADC second. I then proceeded to BOMB the interview by NOT knowing the answers that were required. There were plenty of guys there with a ton of experience also interviewing. However, I serve a GREAT God. I got the job. Because God gave me this job, I have had inmates who truly know their job. One of them is an HVAC guy. I have learned to diagnose, repair, and install HVAC correctly. This knowledge has allowed me to go MAD. Everyone knows how much it costs to have an AC guy come out and repair your unit. I now have been doing this for free for the people who need it. A single mother of three who just moved in needed a new fan motor, thanks to God placing the correct people in my path, it was done. Another friend had a son needing a compressor change out. Your talking $800 in AC bills. He bought the compressor and I put it in for him. He is now nice and chilly. Please give God all the glory because if He hadn't moved in my life, I would not be able to help people like that.

I am making a difference this week, next week, and for the next year by serving with a ministry called TentMakers. I was a 7th grade Biology teacher for over 3 years. I took a trip to South Africa with my church back in January and felt the tug to continue serving there. When the school year was over, I spent a month helping the ministry creating curriculum for youth teaching them basic life skills with a biblical foundation. God continue to tug on my heart and I finally answered His call to leave my job and join the mission field. He has been faithful to raise almost all of my support (almost $10,000) and it's only been one month! I leave in January for South Africa and will be gone until July of 2011. Thanks, K-Love!

I have partnered with another local photographer to help give at risk kids in our area something to do on Monday nights...by teaching them photography. For 10 years I have been the local volunteer photographer for K-Love radio with Pam Patrick Thompson in Virginia Beach....and I could not think of a better way to give back than to hopefully inspire young kids to tap into their creativity with Photography. We do this at a local church so they are also getting the message of Christ! What a wonderful combination!!!

When I'm in a grocery store checking out, God lift's my spirit/heart to share my blessings so I pay for the next persons bill, or look for that person who is looking @ their carts taking things out/ just don't have enough money (you can tell, I know I've been there). My heart is filled with joy!

OH I forgot to tell you I lost my job in March.

I was at a funeral visitation last evening, and a 6th grade boy was tearful, struggling. Later I shared from Revelation 22 about how God comforts us, and the visual picuture of heaven, with the gold, gems, and pearls. He was much happier, and ran and got his brother, " you've got to hear this"! he said.

I have a work-study job in the maintenance department at the local college where I attend school. Even though I'm not the only worker on the team I know that everything I do, whether it's something I was told to do or if it's something I saw that needed doing, makes a big difference and people notice that difference. I just want you guys to know that YOU have made a difference in my life by playing the kind of music that my mom doesn't have to worry about me listening to, and that I can fall asleep to every night.

A member of our congregation was in a severe head on car accident. She broke both feet, sternum, her back and a couple of ribs. She won't be able to walk for three months. Our church family has been incredible about providing meals for the family. Just before she was released from the hospital my husband and I went to her house and planted some plants to perk up the front porch area. I made a fall wreath for the door and put out a pumpkin. Just wanted to make her smile when she came home.

I've got to share how proud I am of my wife, Beth, who made a difference. She works on the 5th floor of an office building in the KLOVE city of Lincoln, NE. A guy came into the office through a door that rarely is used by the public. She said he kind of hesitated and said he was embarrassed to ask his question, but he asked if she could lend him some money to get a haircut. He said he was incarcerated a couple weeks ago and just landed a new job where he wanted to make a good impression. He went to a couple places to see if he could get a haircut before he started his job, but no one would do it without payment up front. Beth asked him how much it would cost. He replied, "$7.50". So she happily handed him $10. Through tears, he thanked her and said he would repay her as soon as he got his first paycheck. She said she didn't want him to pay it back and wished him good luck in his new job. She told me he didn't look like he needed a haircut that bad. I told her that maybe he didn't need a haircut as much as he needed to see God's love come from a complete stranger at that particular moment.

I sent a encouraging and anonymous text message saying that God has an undying love for you. It grew into a major an life changing experience in under and hour. We are on our way together to recovering from drug addictions and being healed in Christ. All with a total stranger. I encourage you to try in sometime. If you're having trouble finding the words to send use these, "I want you to know that God will be with you in the Valley of the Shadow of Death. He is with you right now and He has an undying love for you, His child.

My mother recently moved from our home in Colorado to an assisted living facility in California, closer to my bother who has younger children, mine have graduated. She is struggling with the transition and it is frustrating that I can not be there to help more. I realized I could send her some CD's with some annointed music on them and trust that God would use that music to touch her heart and uplift her spirits. When we ask the Lord He always gives us a way we can make a difference, even if we can not be there in person.

When I was over at a friends house (she was not a christian) I turned on K-love and she asked what station this was and I said it was a christian station that's when she stopped what she was doing and started to kind of listened to it and you all were playing Jeremy Camp " Jesus Saves. " That's when she asked how to become a christian! Then she asked Jesus into her heart and repented!!!!!!

Hey there! My dog actually got her MAD on yesterday. She insisted on riding to the store with me. When we got there, there was a young lady in her 20s who was having a REALLY rough day where everything was just going wrong. She was sitting on the curb next to where we parked. Moose jumped out of the car trotted over to her and just snuggled up next to her. The girl looked up with tears streaming down her face and said, "how did you know I needed a dog to pet?" I said "I didn't. But I believe that we call dogs dog because the reflect the love of God perfectly. I have to run in and get some milk, so if you're going to be on your break for 10 minutes or so, you're welcome to sit here let her love on you until I get back." She agreed and I went into buy milk and grabbed a blank card and wrote my number and a few bible verses in the card and gave it to her with a promise to keep her in my prayers. She looked much happier when we left.Rachel

I am attempting to make a difference in the life of a new friend, but I need some help. Her name is Chlesea. She has been married for 13 years and they have 2 children from her husband’s first marriage. They are a wonderful example of a great Christian family. Although I went to church with them for five years, I have recently just got to know Chelsea. A few weeks ago Chelsea shared with me that she has always wanted to have a child, but feel that too much time has passed and questioned her ability to have one. I ensured her that I know plenty of women who have had children at 38 and older and I have made it a goal to send her one story per day until she conceived. However, after several weeks, I am running low on stories. I begin each e-mail with “The Story of ___” and fill in the blank with a mother’s name whom the story is about. I am asking K-Love and their listeners to send stories where God intervened in conception against all odds or just seemingly small stories of childbirth around her age or after trying for many years. This would mean so much as she holds onto God’s Truth that all we need is faith as a mustard seed. Prayers are welcome too. Thanks!
Please send them to email@example.com

At my favorite place to eat, I noticed that there were always Military and Police men & women eating there. I've been leaving $20 every Monday with this establishment to buy our Police or Military service men/women a meal. They only charge them $5 for a delicious meal, so every week I get to buy 4 of them lunch. I love the fact that they have no idea who I am, but just get to enjoy a meal for free as a Thank You for keeping us safe.

My wife was listening to K-love the other day when she picked up her sister to celebrate her birthday. Her sister is a person that beleives that they are in control of their life and no one else including God. She said "is that your revelation music"? My wife told her yes, do you want me to turn it? No, she says. What happened next is mind blowing to me. She then started asking questions about God. My wife was there with what answers she could. After my wife got home her sister called with more questions. Can you pray for her in her new journey in hopes that one day she accepts Christ.

Hey Scott & Kelli; I enjoyed our talk at the Aurburn Matthew West concert. I've been a faithful listener to K-Love for over four years now. Last Fri. I was visiting some people at the Long Term Acute Care Unit at Carson Thahe hospital when my orthopedic surgen walked up behind me and asked me to go on rounds with him. He had some patients that were not sure if they wanted the surgery that they were do to have on Monday.I was able to share with them some of my experiences and what I had been through in the past three years and what God had done for me and what He would do for them if they were only willing to listen to what He had to say to them. You know , each of the patients and their family members were open to my offer for prayer for their upcoming surgery and tomorrow I will be returning to the L.T.A.C. unit to visit and help them with their recovery. This morning they were all on my daily prayer list. In His Glorious Name
