I'm grateful for the grace of God to save who I used to be. I know He is training me to become a warrior for Christ. In this, I know I will be a strong man, not only for God, but for myself and my bride, Cristina. Both I love very dearly.

My husband is in India for 2 weeks sharing the gospel.  He is seeing that people of Hindu faith who accept Christ can often pay a high price through harsh persecution.  I have just been thinking all day that I am so thankful for our country where freedom gives us protection to worship Christ openly!  God is doing a great work among the people in India this week and I ask you to pray that it is the beginning of something that will continue long after the mission team comes home.

My wife's brother is in The National Guard and was recently activated to Afghanistan for a 12 month tour of duty. His formal send off ceremony was today. After the event, our family decided to meet for lunch at our local Applebees. There was 12 of us in total. We all got our meals and the server must have overheard that he was on his way to serve over seas. The manager came over to check on our table and informed us that he would like to cover the solder's meal. We all thought that was very nice and carried on with our meal. After we were ready for the check, the server came over and told us that we are all set and the bill had been covered! A gentleman and his wife in the next booth over (that did not know us) paid for our entire bill. I burst out in joy full tears and praised God that there in front of me was a shining example of total thanksgiving and kindness to fellow man. I will forever be grateful to that kind stranger and to God above who set the events up to His glory.

Despite the ongoing unemployment my husband faces and the reality of our finances running dry soon...I am so GRATEFUL for all the time this situation has given him  to spend time with our 2 year old daughter. He used to leave for work before she awoke, and often arrived home near or after her bedtime (not by choice, the nature of his job). Now, she is just blooming in the abundance of "Daddy time". As he continues to search for work, we are hopeful God will provide a new opportunity with more work/life balance.

Where do you start and end with giving thanks to our Lord? I still don't know but I at least want to acknowledge some things that I am grateful for.
I am most thankful for my relationship with the Lord, and all that entails; salvation, overwhelming love, joy beyond all reason, peace beyond comprehension. I'm so very grateful that God's love is not based on what I do. I'm so thankful that the first commandment is to love God with all my heart, soul, mind, and strength. Thankfully, I don't have to DO anything, I can be like a baby sleeping in loving arms-just loving and being loved-just being-not striving.
I'm also so very grateful for prayer and people to pray with. For answered prayer and sometimes the unanswered ones.
I'm thankful for the joy that comes in seeing nature's colors in fall leaves, sunrises, sunsets, friend's skin and eyes and in rainbows.
For the joy found in the music of the wind, worship, voices of loved ones, children's laughter and baby's cries I am thankful.
Joy felt in the hugs of friends and family, the feel of the softness of cat's fur, warm sheets on a cold night, hot showers, the sun on my face and the breeze in my hair is reason to thank our Lord.
I thank God for the smile on my face as I walk into a home and am met with wonderful smells of dinner cooking-baked apples with cinnamon; the fragrance of evergreens at Christmas, fresh sawdust, old timey roses and babies after their bath.
Oh, and how can I not thank God for some of my favorites, the taste of Grandma's fruitcake cookies, Daddy's biscuits and soup, pecan pralines, Mom's homemade rolls, steak, and American Dream pizza, and for the anticipation of new flavors to try!
So MUCH to be thankful for; family, friends, Westside Community Church, grace, compassion, hope, the USA, freedom, hard times, and good times. I still don't know where to end but I do know this. God is the source of all and so to Him I give thanks!!

It's very interesting to me that you are talking about happiness right now. I am currently reading a book by Dr. David Jeremiah called "Searching For Heaven on Earth: How to find what really matters in life." It goes through Ecclesiastes and Solomon's realization that his search for meaning and happiness is futile with out God being the center of all things. We need to get outside of ourselves (not being self-centered) and focus on others and loving God to be happy. Those are just a few thoughts that came all at once. Thank you for your ministry.

I am grateful everyday that my husband has never given up on me. About a year ago my husband decided it was time for our family to start going to church and even though I fought him tooth and nail about where we were going to go, he put his foot down and said "This is where we are going to church." Because of that my faith in the Lord has been restored and is stronger now than ever before. Without that I would still be lost in the darkness. I am grateful that both God and my husband never gave up on me. I am also so very grateful for my new church family at the Heights Baptist Church in Billings Montana. The love that God, my husband and my church has shown me has been amazing and fills my heart everyday. THANK YOU!!

After 17 years of marriage, my husband and I have just recently separated. I spent several days just barely making it through the day without crying at the drop of a hat or the thought of a memory that we had shared.  The thought of being thankful or even happy was something far from my mind. Since this happened, I have returned to church and have several friends praying for our family (we have two boys-ages 15 and 11). This week has been Revival week at our church. What a fantastic reason to be thankful. Lastnight was about victory and the promises that Jesus has given us. These promises involve far more than salavation. We are free, we can have joy and freedom from burden. We are more than conquerers! I am so thankful for all of these promises. For the first time in YEARS I feel joy again. Thank you Jesus!

Last March during my annual mammogram the technician mentioned some concerns during the x-ray and wanted me to follow up with my doctor, which I did even though I received the letter from the radiologist stating that the mammogram was normal.  Due to her leading I had my doctor request further testing, which they did and I found out that I had very aggressive Stage IIB breast cancer.  I have undergone two breast surgeries and am undergoing chemotherapy treatments since last August and will continue until December 2010.  Had she not shared her concern, I would have just filed away the letter I received saying the mammogram was normal and never followed up with my doctor. Had I not had the surgery, I probably would not be here today. So I am so grateful for the technician sharing her concern since most time they do not do that.

I am grateful that God gave me my son. 30 years ago I suffered a miscarraige at the hands of my x husband.  I never was able to have another child. I was carrying a son.
11 years ago I met a godly young man at a youth camp. We immediately felt a connection. So I became his 2nd mom.  Come to find out he is the same age that my son would have been had he lived.
Jason is everything I could ever hope for in a son. He is godly and works hard. He is funny, he is generous and kind and very sensitive. He is now married to a wonderful woman. He calls me all the time like a good son would.
Last year my husband of 20 years left me. I worried about being alone. Jason has become my family and I love him as if I bore him myself. I call him my gift from God.

After haveing a crazy year in 2009 with lots to tear me down, to include leaving my husband and loosing almost everything I'd work the last 6 years to build and finding out I may not be able to have children.  I did just this, I sat down and counted all my blessings and began to renew a faith that had been so lost in my life over the last several years.  I read a quote in January... "Happiness is the experiance of living every moment with love, grace and gratitude".  I then chose Gratitude as my one word for 2010.  I have an amazing family & friends that are so supportive.  I have a great job and a place to live, and have learned I CAN make it on my own.  I have a renewed faith and relationship with my Lord, and feel like a whole person again.  That I am most thankful for!  I strive everyday to be grateful for the many blessing I do have.

I am so thankful to God for blessing me and my husband with our little girl, Naomi, who was born 4 months early at 23 weeks on December 13, 2009. She weighed only 1 lb 7 oz. She's our miracle baby! I'm so thankful that God hears our cries and answers them. And when we start to wonder why this happened we're reminded it was for the Glory of God! I so thankful that when the devil starts to knock us down with fear and doubt, our Lord Jesus stands us up again and we declare that our faith and trust is in HIM! Praise God, he never leaves us! I'm also thankful for the Brandon Heath Love Song. I am so thankful for my dad. He has been a rock in my life that I know that I could always depend on. Even through a kidney transplant, blindness and a below the knee amputation, my dad remains strong. A year and a half ago(just after my dad started therapy to learn to walk again),I was in a bad car accident. I was hit from behind by a guy on a four-wheeler. I only had some damage to the nerves in my arm, but the young man on the four-wheeler didnt make it. As I was sitting on the side of the road crying and feeling hopless I hear some clicking and sliding noises coming from up the road, it was my dad. He hadnt been released to walk by himself on the walker, but he managed to walk quite a long distance to make it to me.Seeing him walking reminded me that through God there is hope!!  God has helped him to remain strong. He is still preaching and sharing Gods Word and his testimony of everything that God has brought him through.

I am very thankful for my God, my family and especially for my wonderful husband. I lost my daughter back in 2007 in a car accident. Through God's grace I am surviving through this. My family are always there when I have those down days. And my husband of 7 months never had the opportunity to meet her, but he has made me realize that she will always be remembered by me, and to move on and to quit being down and depressed. She will always be in my heart but I have moved on. I will never forget our times together. She is my guardian angel above. He has helped me realize my life is important and that she wouldnt want me to be that way. I love you Jessica. One day we will be together again. As Matthew West sings "Save a place for me"

It is such a joy to be able to not be consumed by whats happening in your life because you know that God has it taken care of but instead keep your focus on God and be able to reach out to other people, even in the middle of your own hardships and tradgedy. I have a blog, One week ago I posted. What are you Thankful for? Do not think about it, just the first thing that comes to mind.
My answer.
In December I had thyroid cancer surgery. I was told my calcium levels could drop and I was to report to ER immediately.
So on Sunday, Suddenly I was so Thankful that mine never dropped. It is the little things that count. God is concerned about all the little things, they can add up to a BIG thing.

Tuesday 2-23-10 I was listening to Scott & Kelly.
I heard people sharing why they listen and one person made me actually cry. It has been 2 years since my boyfriends son committed suicide and it has created a plethera of bitter ugly feelings. No matter how I've prayed they just seem to be walled off from the gates of Heaven. I cried as I went to bed but kept praying the name of JESUS AND asking for a miracle. Circumstances are just as ugly today, but before I went to sleep I felt
encouraged by the power of Jesus's name, and I could picture myself with my head in HIS lap.
Today is Thanksgiving day!!!!
I haven't known why He chose to wrap himself around many years ago, but HE wanted to be my shephard. It was a long 23 years and until this situation I've felt more alive in prayer for others. To all who can't see a light at the end of the tunnel---HANG ON to HIS WORD (truth and light); IF you have nothing else, YOU HAVE HIS POWERFUL NAME and all the angels and saints with us. This is Olympic time and I realized how much we should be OLYMPIC PRAYER WARRIORS for everyone storming the very gates of heaven with our prayers for others. HE gave us his armour to have here and HOW powerful it is!
THANK YOU FOR HEARING SO MANY PEOPLE'S PRAYERS AND LETTING US HOLD those that don't feel they have anything! GOD IS REAL AND IS ALIVE working us out of the lies of this world into the hope of everlasting life.

I'm thankful that when I was losing all faith in God because of my parents divorce and then I was told I couldn't have kids, he opened my eyes. My parents are happily divorced and I'm now expecting my 2nd child. He made me realize that he is with me always. I'm thankful for everything he gives me. I also thank him for watching over my husband throughout him Army Reserve training. God is with us like a marriage, he is there through sickness and health, the good and the bad, He can always be found.

You say being Grateful, I am am thankful for my holy father saving my father on earth. A few years ago when i was in second grade, my father had a fatal stroke, he was sitting on his death bed, we all prayed during the hole surgery. He made it out alive, he was fed through a tube for a while and now limps, and for a while had double vision, but now he is my annoying, loving father, who i couldn't love anymore then i already do. NOW , HE PREACHES EVERY SUNDAY, AND VISITS PEOPLE WHO NEED HELP. I LOVE BOTH OF MY FATHERS SOO MUCH!!!! I don't know what i would do without either one of them! Just thought i'd share my story.

My husband and I were steps away from divorcing this week. I made a horrible mistake that Satan used to try to destroy our marriage and I hid it from my husband for four years. He found out about it a week ago and I wanted to leave because I was ashamed and felt I didn't deserve him. Through God's grace, my husband has forgiven me and we have worked through it. We realized there were shortcomings from both of us and it is as if our relationship has been restored and even stronger before. I am thankful for forgiveness because when I needed nothing else, God softened my husband's heart and mine so that we would not allow Satan to take our marriage. I DARE him to try to come between us again!

There's a wonderful book out by Nancy Leigh DeMoss called "Choosing Gratitude - Your Journey to Joy". You may have talked about it earlier today. I am currently studying it with a group of ladies at my church. It's really reshaped my thinking! A story included is of a Scottish minister, Alexander Whyte, known for his uplifting prayers and always finding something for which to be grateful. One Sunday "the weather was so dank and gloomy" that the church members were certain he wouldn't think of anything to thank the Lord for. He began by praying, "We thank Thee, Lord, that it is not always like this." Sometimes we can simply be grateful for the things we don't have to endure!

I am grateful for K-Love.

I am approaching the end of my high school career.  Each day at school I am constantly reminded of how much my life is going to change in the next few months.  I won't be with my loving family every night at the dinner table, I won't be with my best friends.  Life for me will be completely different.

On my drives to school, piano lessons, and softball practices, K-Love reminds me that no matter what changes this life will bring, God's love will remain stedfast.

Written on my bathroom mirror is my favorite Bible verse...

"For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord, plans to prosper you, not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future."  Jeremiah 29.11

Thank you K-Love, for every thing you do.

I feel grateful for everything.
Not only that He loves us so much that He died for us and forgave all our sins, but also that He came to my life and that I accepted Jesus as my personal Saviour. I feel thankful for God that He gave me the gift of faith. Ever since I accepted Him as my Savior and gave all my life to Him, I feel like I'm living in heaven every single day. Before I met Jesus, I had been always screamed at my housekeeper, but I can control my anger because of Jesus. He's so so so so so amazing.
I'm so lucky. Thank you Jesus. You are my reason to live. Thank you for teaching me love. Thank you for giving me faith. I can do nothing. But you can do everything.

When I think about being gratful I think of a situation that took years to be completed. The year 2007 was one of the worst years of my life from a human standpoint. For a long time I wished it had never happened. In September there is a festival I go to. The first time I went there was in 2007 so every year I would assoiate it with the pain of 2007. Last year when I went I asked God to seperate the fesivel from the pain. Not only did He do that He showed me what He was doing in 2007. Taking away the pain of that year but also making grateful for everything that happened in that year.A year I had wished never happened I am now so thankful for. Praise God only He could do such a thing

My father and I were as close as a father and daughter could be. He taught me how life was an adventure and to appreciate everything around me not just what is in front of me.  When my parents divorced I became angry.  I isolated myself from him believing that he left us and no longer wanted to be a part of my life.  He tried calling and spending time with me, but I continued to cut him out of my life.  After I graduated from a small school in Montana, I decided to move to Florida and live with my mother.  The night before I left my dad asked me to have dinner.  We had a unforgettable evening just talking and making a mends from the last year that we lost by being angry.  The next morning at the airport, just as I was boarding the plane my dad came running down the hall towards the gate.  He left work just to see me off.  With tears in his eyes, he told me how much he loved me and when I was ready to come back he would make a room for me at his apartment.  My gut told me not to get on that plane, but I went.  3 months later, I was so unhappy I wanted to come home to Montana.  I spoke with my dad on the phone and he was so thrilled to know that I was coming home and he was making ready for me.  As I hung up the phone the last thing I said was how much I loved him. Instead of flying back to Montana we drove. During my trip back my dad was killed by a grizzly bear in Yellowstone National Park. I was 18, I was angry and I was lost.  After about 6 months of complete disaray. I thought how thankful and blessed I was to have made that final dinner with him, hug him and tell him I'm Sorry. The lord gave me a final chance to make things right.  Lifes to short to hold a grudge.  Be thankful for the time you have with the people you love.

Two weeks ago I saw a surgeon because I had a cyst, which had ruptured and left a three inch deep hole. I was instructed to pack it with gauze and return today. However after three days of packing it, the pain was so bad that I stopped and began to pray. I prayed every day for it to be healed and thanked God everyday for his ability to heal the ... See Moresick and wounded. Today when I saw the surgeon, I told her that i had not done as she instructed. She lectured me about how I either needed to as she said or i would need to have surgery. After her lecture she looked at it and said "Oh my... this is so unreal" I asked what she was talking about and she replied "It is completely healed.... thats not physically possible." I just smiled and said "Any thing is possible with God." as I left her office she was still in shock. I got in the elevator and thanked God for everything he does for me and everyone else. I am so grateful to have such a wonderful God in my life!

I was painting one of those paint-by-number sets, when i heard  you talking about being thankful. I thought about it, and dicided that i am most thankful for my gift, art. I envy people who get things natruly. I have to study a lot to get the grades i do, and you don't want to see me in gym, if i could  would just sit in the bleachers and draw, thats the only thing that came natruly to me, art. I am so thankful God gave me my gift! As i was thinking about this, God seemed to shout at me "Tell your story" i do not know why He wants me to, its not amazing or anything, just a small story about a 14 year old girl, so i kept painting. But he kept pushing (I laugh now, because God definatly has a sense of humor) he made me mix the wrong shades, and the paintbrush kept drying up. So i gave in and here i am now. I know its not amazing, and you probaly didn't get emoitional while reading this, but thanks anyways. Waht ever God used me for, i bet it will be incredible. Ya, so this is the hard part, ending my sob story, uh, thanks? Uhg, bye? (That never gets easier) Smile <3

He refreshes and restores my life(my self);  He leads me in the paths of tighteousness [ uprightness and right standing with HIm-- not for my earning it, but] for His name's sake.
Yes, though I walk through the [deep, sunless] valley of the  shadow of death, I will fear  or dread not evil, for You are with me: Your rod [to protect me] and Your staff[ to guide], they  confort me.
You prepare a table before me in the presence of my enemies.  You anoint my head with oil; my [brimming] cup runs over.
Shurely goodness, mercy, and unfailing love shall follow  me all the days of my life, and  through the length of my days the howls of the Lord[ and His presence shall be my dwelling place.    I hope this encourages and reminds you of  his promises!!!!!!

I am thankful for the blessing God has given me in my husband and children.  We have three grown children and three grandchilden. Every Monday evening is family nite.  All the kids come home and we cook.  It's the best day of the week.

I'm thankful that God has blessed me with my boyfriend who is currently serving in the Marines. We know that we are meant for each other and the long distance is hard. Even though this is our first time apart like this, I'm happy that God has a plan for us. All we have to do is just turn to him.

I'm grateful for every minute of every day He gave me with the wonderful girl He brought to me to be my beloved wife.  I'm grateful for His love and compassion when I lost her, and for teaching me true humility, true forgiveness, and unconditional love.  I am grateful to His people for coming around me, and His word for teaching me even in the darkest moments of hurting and heartbreak.  I am grateful that He gave me such a love and a heart to find out how it can be broken.  I am grateful for His promise to use me and use this pain, somehow, some way in fulfillment of His perfect plan.

I'm thankful for how God has had His hand on my life. Even in the moments when things are hard to understand, God has truly shown me and continues to show me that what I had thought was good for me, He had something way better. Sometimes as humans it's hard to let go of something when God tells you He's got something better, and at the moment you can't "see the something better". But God has shown me so much through these times in my life. I'm kinda in a let go moment right now...it's not an easy thing ...but God is Faithful and that's something else I'm thankful for God's Faithfulness!!!!!!Psalm 37:23- "The Lord directs the steps of the godly. He delights in every detail of their lives."
