The Most Addictive Sound!!!

A new study shows that there addictive sounds, like the Intel chime, a sizzling steak, the wedding march, the T-mobile ring tone, the Star Bangled Banner and a baby's laugh, which is the most addictive sound on the planet. Do you agree?

What sounds do you find additive???

Not really an addictive sound, but one that gets our attention. Our daughter was born almost nine years ago premature, and spent just over 6 weeks in the NICU. She spent the whole time hooked up to a monitor that checked her heart beat and oxygen level. When she would have a problem, the monitor would sound blarring loud. Well, after she was released from the hospital, we were in McDonald's one day. All of a sudden we heard that same familiar sound from the NICU, and we stopped in our tracks. When we realized what was going on, it was the Fries' machine/timer that was going off. It had the exact same sound as the monitors in the NICU. To this day, that same sound still sends us into nostalgia. Now our daughter is a very healthy almost nine year old.

It's hard to beat a baby's laugh. But aside from that I find sounds of other creations of God addicting. I love the sound of rain. It sooths my soul and lulls me to sleep at night. I love the calming sound of the ocean as the waves come up to the beach. I love the sound of the wind when it's blowing through the trees. The sounds of God are around us everywhere. I pray we all take notice.

The most addictive sound to me is the sound of my horse as we navigate tough trails. I never find myself closer to God as I am surounded by His creation and I can hear the still soft voice of God Himself. Jesus is my best friend and he has allowed me to injoy one of his finist creations, the horse. God bless you all and listen to the quiet. He is there. Joann

I'm bot sure were I'm suppose to post a prayer request but You mentioned on the radio yesterday lifting up names of loved ones who need prayer to fall in love with Christ. I'm not sure how you worded it but my husband, Morgan Jack, needs prayer. He needs a true love for Jesus Christ and to know the immportance of going to church. We really need to be greatful for any chance we have at getting a hold of god. I'll let you put it in your own words, but can we please lift his name up for prayer that God would touch his heart and he would fall in love with christ. PLEASE And I love you guys. your so funny Smile

The most addictive sound to me is the sound of bass instruments in a band. I love low notes, the lower, the better. I began playing the Bass Clarinet in the community band that I am in and I tell people that my Bass Clarinet is my bass voice!

So weird that the Intel chime made the list. I work at Intel, and they actually play that sound twice a day as a "stretch reminder" tone (for all the cube monkeys to get up out of their cubes for a minute!)

It's not "addictive" at all ... I don't even consciously hear it anymore!

I'll gear this review to 2 types of people: current Zune owners who are considering an upgrade, and people trying to decide between a Zune and an iPod. (There are other players worth considering out there, like the Sony Walkman X, but I hope this gives you enough info to make an informed decision of the Zune vs players other than the iPod line as well.) star trek reviews

The laugh of my baby Lucas! He was only 1 lb. 7 oz. when he was born at 25 weeks, so I couldn't even hold him for over a month and it was even longer before I heard him make any sound for the first time because he was intubated. Lucas came home from a five month stay in the NICU the day before Thanksgiving and on Valentine's Day, we heard him LAUGH for the first time! I thank God everyday for baby Lucas. "These Simple Truths"... God's got his hand on baby Lucas and his simple laugh is the most addicting sound to me.
