The Most Addictive Sound!!!

A new study shows that there addictive sounds, like the Intel chime, a sizzling steak, the wedding march, the T-mobile ring tone, the Star Bangled Banner and a baby's laugh, which is the most addictive sound on the planet.  Do you agree?

What is saturated fat and how can I avoid it?

One last tip for heart month. Probably the single biggest problem for your heart is SATURATED FAT. This basically means fat from an animal - most of us get saturated fats from the grease and oil in fast food. However a study published in JAMA (the Journal of the American Medical Association) found that protein and UNsaturated fats can positively affect blood pressure and may reduce the risk of heart disease. For you that means eat white meat chicken - which is a very lean protein - instead of beef and use olive oil - the best unsaturated fat.

Did you splurge on Easter eating?!

You splurged on Easter?  Do this to get back on track….

1) Eat regular meals-starving yourself will only lead to bingeing.  Sadly, most people feel the need to punish themselves with starvation after a holiday because they feel guilty for overeating.  Unfortunately this will only slow down metabolic rate.  Don’t walk in guilt, instead walk in victory and nourish your body with healthful food.  

2) Munch on cucumbers and celery.  These vegetables are natural diuretics and they help rebalance the body’s electrolytes.  They are also low in sugar so they won’t spike insulin levels.

3) Drink peppermint tea (hot or cold), it helps banish bloating and gas.  Tea is also packed with powerful antioxidants (EGCG) that help boost metabolism.

Dear Scott and Kelly,
I have a friend who's name is Gaudalupe, she's had a rough time this year. She lives in a dangerous niebhor hood and her brother got and died only about two months ago. She's doing better, but please pray for her safety and that she will feel better. And that she comes to christ again.

I really dont eat much at any family gathering because I am vegitarian and my family eats mostly meat! lol Smile
