WOW....loved that Words I would Say.  I am terrible with names...but I will remember Sidewalk Prophet.  Your moms must be over the top knowing you wrote that for them...brought tears to my eyes!  Just spoke many of those words to my son (senior HS..last quarter...) has such a heart for God..so many of his friends are going in other directions...its really stressing him. This is Maine...cold God country....but its warming up a little!  Your story touched my heart...he plays guitar..friends aren't into praising much...so he praises alone.  College is coming....but you all can't just land in Nashville..you've got to bring some of that up here to the frozen North!
Blessings,
Donna

I want to really praise God for the work that he has done to move the guys of Sidewalk Prophets to create words to songs that can inspire so many people. "Words I Would Say," helped me to restore my faith in the Lord when it comes to forgiveness in my 20year old sister whom I haven't seen for 2 years. She is into drugs, hurting our family and making choices in life that dodn't reflect a life of Christian faith and I had abandoned her as a sister only to hear Sidewalk Prophet's song and it spoke directly to me and what I wished I could say to her. I have not found her yet to share with her my forgiveness but the song plays on my phone over and over as my ringtone and always in my heart keeping my faith strong. Thank you

After 25 years of marriage my husband went to sleep in the Lord and the same year the last of my three kids moved out of the house...talk about the empty nest! This reality has pulled the rug out from beneath me in many ways both spiritually and practically speaking.  The song that says, "be strong in the Lord, never give up hope, you're gonna do great things...I already know" etc. Has become God's song to my heart as I search for His will and my future. I don't know what the future holds...but I know WHO holds my future. Thank you for giving yourself to the Lord's work...I am a life that was touched and encouraged.
Peace and grins,
Lori

I would just like to say God Bless you Sidewalk Prophets! Your song "The words I would say" made  a huge impact on my life! When I first started listening to K-Love and finding my way back into the arms of the Lord I heard your song "the words I would say" it touched me so deeply. I now use it to let people know God is there for them and let them know he loves them and never stopped and forgives them for their sins. I truely appreciate you guys for what you have brought to christian music! Thanks Scott&Kelli!

With Love,

I had just found out that my nephew had been put in jail and I knew that he need God more now than ever. I wanted to send him a letter and didn't know what to say. That very morning I heard "These are the words I would say" and I knew immediately I had to send him those words. He has turned his life over to the Lord. He started a bible study in his cell and many men came to know Christ as well. He is out of jail now and living for the Lord. Thankyou for being obedient to our precious Lord even through the difficult times. God bless you all.

The song "The words I would say" has really helped me in the last 6 months...Oct12,09 my sister(39yrs old) was killed in a car accident by a drunk driver and she left behind a 21 yr old son(grandson and daughter in law) and a 9 yr old daughter...."the words I would say" seems like a conversation between my sister and my niece it has been very healing for me.  God knows when certain songs are needed and He was right on with this one! Love that song!

love how you created your band name, as most of us have been influenced in one way or another by christian artists we love. I hope there are MANY christians out there who want to be a witness for Christ, but may not have the gift of words.."The Words I Would Say" is not only a blessing to hear, but a reminder that ALL of us are called(and commanded) to share the good news! =)

The song that means alot to me is "What faith can do" by Kutlas.  In fact, my future wife and I are using that song for her to come down the isle.  We both have been married before, both have had broken hearts which are being made new.  It is just an awesome song on so many levels.

I want to say THANK YOU for writing "Lay Down My Life" I heard that song when I was shuffling through your CD and fell in love the second I heard it. It is a constant reminder to me that I don't have to carry my burdens and go through life alone. I made it into a ringtone and every time it plays I say a little prayer and answer the phone. His sacrifice on the cross was all for me and you and I will forever love Him and praise Him for that. May God bless you in your ministry

My daughter left March 8 for 27 months to work in Africa with the Peace Corps.  Before she left, my husband and I had so much information to read about what she would be going through while she was there - in addition to her work, she would experience isolation, language barriers, loneliness, etc...
The night before she left, I was writing her a letter to affirm her in her decision to go and to let her know we would be praying for her.  The words to your song, "The Words I Would Say" came to me and I put them in the letter to give her hope and strength during her long stay in Senegal.
Thank you for listening to the Holy Spirit's promptings in your music.  You have touched so many!

I just wanted to let you know that I love that new song by Sidewalk Profits. It will be added to my list of inspiring songs. And I am happy to hear Michael Jackson was an inspiration to them. "Miss You Michael". One of my favs is "Who AM I" by Casting Crowns. I have always been a runner, but was only doing short distances up to 3 miles. With the help of "Who Am I" and others I have been able to reach my 7th mile. Whew!!! Praise God!! Those songs help me to remember I am not alone and can accomplish anything! Thank You K-Love

Music has kept me going my entire life. I found K-Love in 1986 while I was in Central CA. One song that keeps coming back is Amy Grant's song "All I Ever Have To Be". I sing this song to this day. I have to admit, I miss the "oldies" Carmen, Michael Card, Keith Green, David Meece, early Amy Grant, Steven Curtis Chapman, and so many others. They were my friends in a "Geraldo Rivera Life".

I absolutely love the Sidewalk Prophets! The first time I heard them was when I found out that my parents were getting a divorce. I was driving down the road and in another world and "These are the Words I would Say" came on the radio. I had to pull over because I was crying. God used them to touch my heart and remind me that He was there. Thank you so much for that!

And I'm coming to see you guys at Winston Salem First in May!!! Can't wait! [:

Hi Sidewalk Profits,
I really just want to thank you guys for your singing/playing for our Lord's value rather than your own. By this truely I mean my graditude is to you all for the musical praise you promote to our Savior's righteousness. I love how you guys profess His holy worthiness. For He is our all.
For in my personal life of many difficut trying times, I've definately learned that in any tough time God's Worthiness is worth all of the pain that we have to endure. Our Lord Almighty has allowed many tough times in my young life like times of losing things we never thought we would loose. For instance things like loosing physical capabilities, losing dear loved ones, and having relational hardships w/ loss of closeness to those you love. I am so grateful to God for everything I have lost. For our loss is His gain of us having more dependency on Him. He is the True Giver of the strength we need, and it is so important that we give ourselves to Him. I love your song, "You Can Have Me". And yes to sum it all up, w/ our faith and trust in Him, a tough time we might have truly can turn out to be a joy. His plans for us far exceed what we deserve. Take care "Sidewalk Profits".
In His Love for us all,
Kendra

Although I really like Sidewalk Prophets, I was sorely disappointed that one of the guys decided to do a rendition of Michael Jackson, at Scott's suggestion. How can he glorify a child molester & a drug user? At that point, I changed the station. Very disappointing that KLOVE would endorse having that as a part of the interview.

The story behind these songs can be just so incredibly touching.  Our Heavenly Father works in marvelous ways!  My boyfriend is away at boot camp and his grandpa (who had a huge impact on his life) passed away sometime in the night before Good Friday and wasn't able to get home for the funeral the following week to be there with his family...We have been writing back and forth every day, and the day of the funeral, I happened to have some of the lyrics in my head from "Words I Would Say," so I wrote down these lyrics at the end of my letter for some encouragement, not even knowing the story behind the song...Lo and behold, you were on the air two days later on my long drive home from work, sharing your special story behind that song...to hear that, touched my heart.  God's incredible timing!  Thank you for sharing!

In Christ's name,
Janae
