Today, I was waiting in the lunch line at school when a fellow classmate approached me. He asked me if I would by him lunch. Right as I was about to say "no," the words "make a difference Monday" popped into my head. I looked at him and said, "yes, I will buy you lunch today." Even though it was only a few bucks, it made me feel good for the day.

Around 7:30 this morning I received a phone call at the office from my sister Clara.  She asked if I had a minute and I said sure.  She then started to share with me that she was listening to K-LOVE and they were talking about Make a Difference Monday, and then she started to get choked up.  She composed herself and continued to tell me she was calling to tell me that I make a difference in the family's life.  She shared some specific ways where support and encouragement were provided to other family members.  Of course I started to get tearful too, and I told her next time she needed to clarify "do I have a moment to cry"?  We both laughed and I thanked her for being so thoughtful to share with me.  I told her she inspired me and that she made a difference in my life today.  Funny how Making a Difference in someone's life often results in making a difference in our own life as well.

Today, I am getting a room make over. I am now a single Mom of 6 after a failed marriage of 25 years. My church family has donated at least 100 hours of time and materials to upgrade my home that was in very poor condition. I am so grateful and blessed! They have removed the old and past look and painted, installed lighting, carpet, molding, closet doors, etc... They have completed construction on my bedroom, the main bathroom and my 11 year old son's room. So today, an Interior Designer from our church has volunteered her time to decorate my room. I am at work and when I get home tonight my room will be transformed into my sanctuary!! I can't thank God enough for giving these gracious people the heart to serve ME. It really is a “Make a Difference Monday” for me!!

After a really exhausting day at high school I checked my phone and my mom had left me a voice mail. She told me to meet up with my best friend because we would be taking her home since her grandma was sick and her mom had to take care of her. Even though I was stressed and tired it made me feel really good that I could help out her family through their hardship right now. I haven't always participated in Make a Difference Monday, but I will try the best my 16 year old body will allow me to, to continue to participate because the rewards are worth more than the effort. God Bless You ALL!!!

I was raped when i was 14 years old. I didn't really know christ at all until one of my best friends brought me to him. I didn't want another girl to go through what i did so i decided to get involed in a teens against domestic violence group. I went around my town talking about how to defend yourself what to look out for and how to deal without, I had one girl that e-mailed me and thanked me because just that night she was planning on commiting suicide until i came and talked about how to deal with it. I broke down knowing that i've saved from someone's life.

My sister had just gotten paid today so we decided to go to Chipotle for lunch. We ordered our lunch and paid for it and walked over to get our drinks. As we were getting ready to leave, the manager came up to us and asked us if she could see the debit card again because it didn't go through. We ran it again and it didn't work. We knew for a fact that there was plenty of money in the bank. So I found some money to pay in cash, but when my sister went to the manager to give her the money, the manager said, "It's okay girls. You're meal is on me today!"
We were so amazed and felt so blessed!

My Family and I chose to make a difference and decided to Adopt a US soldier. The soldiers can have letters, and pictures, but you can also send hygiene items and food. What a great thing to do for someone who is on the front lines fighting for our freedom everyday, freedom we sometimes take for granted. So, my children are making pictures and gettin other ppl to donate items to help 'our' soldier..Smile I think it is important to teach our children to help our neighbors. And it is something the kids and 'our' soldier will remember for years to come!! We think the make a difference Monday is a wonderful way to bring us all together and closer to God.Smile

It wasn't on a Monday, but you guys at K-Love and Josh Wilson made a difference. I am in a choir at school and we were having a recital at another place. I am acually home schooled and I couldn't go to the recital because I had to have so many hours at the school. Anyway, it was a Saturday and I was really upset and Dark before the Morning by Josh Wilson. And the words: "You still have a reason to sing" touched my heart. I cryed sooo much. Isn't God great? No, He's AWESOME!!!

I thank God for Klove and how God uses you to touch so many hearts in a special way. There have been many times my daughter and I have sit and cried, touched by God himself through your radio station. I thank you all. Wanted to share a great "making a difference story" with you. I was really struggling in my life with addictions and all that comes with that life since turning my back on God. I was to the point of self destruction, and wouldn't seek help. I was shot and my daughter, which was pretty much distant from me due to my choices in life reached out to help me. She nursed me to a full recovery. In the process she has reminded me of how much God can make a difference. God really used her to make a difference in my life in a more ways than one. We now pray daily together and read the bible together, often talk about ministries we could start together, it's awesome. More importantly, I wanted people to know there is a God that uses people to make a difference, and now I want to be the one that makes a difference in someone else's life.

I have just 4 words that made a difference in my Monday..."my husband made dinner."  I pulled into the garage and there it was...a steaming cast iron dutch oven brimming with sweetly spiced aromas.  I walked in, set down the first of many bags of groceries and grabbed a bowl.  Didn't wash a vegetable, didn't chop a chicken, didn't measure a liquid, didn't even set the table...I just plopped down on the floor with the rest of the fam and stuffed my face!!! FABULOUS!!!

So every day that I have a late start with school (about once a month & almost always on Monday how funny!!!!!) instead of sleeping in like most teenagers would do, I wake up at the same time, get ready to go to school and then clean the whole kitchen, and if their is time vaccum, fold clothes and so on. Its cool becasue after my mommy runs the little girls to school and my daddy leaves to work, my mommy will come home right around the time that its time to leave and you can just see her smile. I love seeing the smile on my mommy's face becasue it reminds me I made a difference in my everyday earthly hero's life, my mommy, who will always be a blessing!!!Praise the LORD for the opportunity to do the little things!!! God's blessings!!

One year ago next month, our church body lost our pastor. He founded the church and served it faithfully for nearly 20 years.  We, as a church, decided to go through an intentional interim process.  This means we selected an intentional interim pastor (a man specifically chosen for this ministry) who has been working with our body to grieve, repair, and prepare for a permanent pastor.  Just as a widow ought wait one year before making any major life decisions, a church must also take time to process the loss and fill the gaps.  We are now at the stage of pastor selection.  We have recieved over 200 resumes and a team of 6 people are weeding through them.  I, in wanting to be a part of the process, felt led to fast and pray for the team.  One Sunday morning, as I was mulling this over, the Lord laid on my heart to cover the entire week for the entire process. So, I set out and asked several people to consider, and we now have a team of 10 faithful people who fast and pray one day week, covering all 7 days.  My day is Monday.  It is struggle to give up food; I get so hungry sometimes I can hardly stand it, but the blessings in the obedience far outweigh the sacrifice.

I personally did not make a difference, but two young boys have in my life. I am currently 15 and my two best guy friends Ryan and Sam have changed my life. When my parents got a divorce I was not with God.  Out of now where a guy named Ryan came into my life and invited me to church.  So,  being a kind friend I said sure why not it won't hurt me.  Well that night was the night I asked God into my heart.... a year later I started having some troubles and I prayed to God to bring me someone  into my life that could help me, and that's when Sam came into my life... he was the one to always help me through and pull me up.  Sam has been a big impact on my life and still is to this day. And I thank God for that! That two other teenagers believe. in you so much to help me through.

The radio personalities of K-Love make a difference everyday for me.  No where else can you listen to a radio station and someone calls in sad, broken, in tears, discouraged and the radio personality will stop and pray for that person.  Awesome!  You continually remind me to pray for those going through life's issues.  When you stop to pray I stop as well.  Your actions have helped me to develop the habit of continual pray just as God Word has said, "Pray without ceasing.  Thank you K-Love.

Today I was listening to your stories about Mothers Day, I am a mom of a 6year old awesome boy and he was so excited about giving me his mothers day gift ( a picture frame he made in class and a beautiful card) I also got cards from my mom and dad. I did not get anything from my husband or acknowlagement from him. I was a little upset about it and it ALMOST ruined my day- however I am so glad that I took my hurt feelings to the Lord before I let them consume me. He reminded me that my confidence is not in men but in Him. How freeing it is to not be offended when we think people should act a certian way and they don't. I know I am more than blessed to have a wonderful healthy boy that loves the Lord, and yes I am also blessed to have the husband I do. All that being said I was listening to your show this morning and you talked about single women and how it might be a hard day for them. I decided instead of focusing on my hurt feelings I would make a difference for a single mom be giving her what I didn't get. I know a single mom who recently started going to our church so Iwent to her work and dropped off some flowers. I left them at the front door and was on my way out ot the car and she came running out with tears in her eyes. She said she was just telling her co-workers how she didn t have a very good mothers day and was kind of upset about it and then the flowers came. Needless to say we were both in the parking lot hugging and crying. We serve an awesome God who will let our hurts heal someone else. I don't know who was more blessed,me or her--To God Be The Glory!!!!

Hi Scott and Kelli ,I'm Erica and I made a difference today by helping my classmate with some math questions when no one was there to like help her out, i was very excited to do that because no one talks to me in class and having some one walk up t me for help was a very best moment that i felt like a student in class, cos some one finally talked to me and i could make a difference by helping that student out.

Today while I was at the college library, I saw a man typing a writing assignment by the hunt and peck method.  It was painful to watch because he was so slow.  He told me that he was never going to get it done because he only had 30 minutes to type two pages so I typed his paper for him.

This morning at around 8:30 am I was listening to KLOVE and they were talking about making a difference Monday. I just moved to Denver from WI and there have been many trials including my husband being distant and not able to communicate well with him and my mothers day was not so great but my 31 year old son finally for the first time in his adult life called to wish me a happy mothers day. I heard the idea of asking how someones mothers day went and what can you do with 5 dollars? Immediatley I could hear the Holy Spirit speaking to me and telling me to give 5 dollars to someone today. I knew that the only place I was going was the post office and then back to unpacking boxes. I asked Him that if He wanted me to do this He would have to show me the right person and what to do when I did as well as it being in His timing. I got side tracked most of the morning and didn't get to the post office until mid afternoon. I was in a long line and asked the woman in front of me how her mother's day was and she said it was great! I moved on and got called to the counter. I wasn't completely prepared to send my certified letter and the postman asked me to move my things to the side and go get a proper envelope. When I got back He was helping an older couple and I had to wait for a bit. I felt the Holy spirit tell me to talk to this woman. I asked if they were picking up a package and she said no they were getting mail that was held for three weeks. I asked her how her mothers day was and she said not good. She said that the trip was to see her mother because she was on her death bed. She died of serious complications and the woman was crying and was obviously taking it very hard. I told her to not think I was crazy but that the Lord had told me to find Her and give Her 5 dollars. I handed it to her and she grasped it as though she was never planning to spend it. I hugged her for a little while and she said her mother was in a better place and I agreed. I wispered to her as I held her that the Lord is with her as well and will never leave her. I could see that it was a confirmation for her and it in turn became a confirmation for me. God is awesome and when He sent the Holy spirit to live inside me, all I have to do is be available no matter what my circumstances are and listen for his voice and be obedient. Beautiful things happen when we do that. Just from that little jesture that the Lord wanted from me has done great things. I am so glad that I was listening and obeyed. With much love to all of you at KLOVE. You are my brothers and sisters in Christ and you lift me up everyday amongst the chaos that trys to steal my joy. Love, Carolyne.

Today, I went on a field trip. I am in sociology, and we are on the subject of genocide. Right now we are looking more into depth on the Holocaust. Here in my city, San Antonio, there is a Jewish Community Center on the northside. We took tours of their, I guess you can museums. They had memorials all over the pace. I mean this place is like being out San Antonio, it was so nice. So they had taken us to the auditorium, and there was this lady. Turns out she was a Holocaust survivor. She lost both her parents. Her brother and sister-in-law just passed away this year. She told us that she came around so many situations to where she almost died in the camp. But you know what she said? She that she kept faith in God this whole time. That she trusted him. She knew that he was going to get her through this. And it is true.  She said that if you just believe in God and trust him, that you get through anything. At the end, she mentioned how we have it made here in America. We so much here that we aren't thankful for it. She had also said that we have a lot of resources to get an education. She wanted us to take advantage of everything we have here in America. At the end, our whole student body went up to her to hug her. This experience, just showed me that it doesn't matter what religion you are. We are no different from each other, and we shouldn't judge others based on what they believe.

I recently graduated college in Durant, OK. I now live in Fox, OK which is about 80 miles west of Durant. Well today my area was hit by some of the tornadic storms that ravaged my state today. When I found out that the same storm was headed straight for Durant, I texted a warning to EVERY cell number I had from that area, which was about 25 people. I feel great knowing that I was able to help them get to safety.

I have a very awesome landlord, he serves God in every way he can by helping people, giving people places to live and living a very meager life.  He has been out of town for the last 2 months. He is working on another property that he owns that is taking him a long time to fix up.  His money is running out and he is stressing about how much time he has left to get the repairs finished on the place where he is at. I offered to help him with his properties here while in his absence. He trusts me to do the right thing. So, I am protecting his interest.  His birthday was on Mother's day, so I sent him a card and a gift card for McDonald's so that he can eat for free until he is able to come home.  I am truly blessed to have such a good friend like him

Hi Scott and Kelli,

My husband and I have 5 boys, 1 daughter in law, 2 grandchildren and another due in June.  Two of the boys just was released from prison.  I am trying to be a differance maker in each of their lives by showing them unconditional love no matter what they have done or where they have been just a Jesus would.  It is very frustrating and overwhelming at times, as I'm sure the Lord gets weary at times when I "slip up" but He still keeps loving and encouraging me.  Please pray for wisdom for me as I try to do WJWD.  They need jobs, housing, and a second chance.
Thank God for KLOVE - it helps keep me going
