I saw Brandon last Thursday here in San Diego and he made quite the comment about in-n-out burger! I gasped at his disregard for the awesomeness that is in-n-out! He needs to change the way he orders his burger if he things 5 guys has a better burgers!
Other than that, he is a great performer! Just has taste buds that don't work very well quite obviously. lol

Hi Scott and Kelli! I really love your radio, guys! I found it accidentally when searching for a song on Youtube. I'm sooo happy I found it! I'm originally from Ukraine, but at the moment am studying in the Netherlands. I will graduate this June, so I am thinking and praying for my future ministry. I was much impacted by the two songs of Brandon Heath "Give Your Eyes" and "Follow You." I want to follow Jesus where He leads me that my life will touch someone's life and that life will touch someone's else life. I pray to have God's eyes to see those people around me who needs God's love. Thank you, Brandon, that your life did touch mine through your songs. Many blessings to you!
Thanks!

A couple of months ago either Scott & Kelli or Lisa & Eric suggested they needed a theme song for Make a Difference Monday, and maybe they could get Brandon Heath to write one. I am obviously not Brandon Heath, but I wrote a song for Make a Difference Monday. I would be honored if he would consider recording it for K-LOVE if he thinks it worthy. It can be found at www.minuteswithmessiah.com/minutes/madmonday.html

I feel compassion for those people who talk differently than we do. We often laugh at them and their way of speech and we think they are stupid when in fact it is the way they learned to speak and they don't know that the way they say things is not good English. We would do well to remember we are aliens in this world and we don't really speak the language of Heaven. I for one am thankful that God doesn't laugh at my attempts at His language.

Hi Brandon,

I saw you when you came to Kodiak, AK. My husband was just transfered by the Coast Guard to the island one month before you came. Your concert meant so much to me because I loved your songs in the lower 48 and to hear you sing made me feel connected to the lower 48 again. It was like God knew my heart and knew I needed that connection. You made our transition a little easier. Thank you. Julie

Thank you SO much for having Brandon Heath on the show today!! He is, by far, my favorite Christian singer for multiple reasons but the biggest being that I truly believe God knew how much his music would change my life! I'll be 24 in May, and I am not sure I could have gotten through college and to this point in my life without Brandon's music. I can remember talking to my best friend and saying, "I swear, without Brandon Heath's knowledge, God wanted him to write his album (What If We) specifically for me." Every song on that album has a special place in my heart because they helped me out of one of the darkest parts of my life, a three year battle with an eating disorder. So Brandon Heath, thank you SO much for your music, it continues to inspire me daily. It truly is life changing and I thank God daily for its impact on my life!
I LOVE THE NEW ALBUM as well...current favorites: The One, Stolen, and First Time Smile Thanks, again!

I am a huge fan! "Don't get comfortable" and "Wait and See" are so inspiring.  My favorite is still "I am not who I was".  A few years ago I battled an addiction to prescription pain killers and went to rehab. I was so ashamed for my actions. It was difficult to come to terms with my mistakes. I listened to "I am not who I was" religiously every day for months - sometimes multiple times a day.  I found so much healing in that song. I am NOT who I was and now have a chance to make different choices - I make daily ammends for my prior actions.  Your song reminds me that I was someone else before but gives me hope for who I am today.  Thank you!

I am working on getting tickets for me and my kids, ages 9,7 and 6 to your concert here in Denver next week. Can't wait! Oh and real men wear pink and skinny jeans Smile

I went to your concert in knoxvile a few months ago, and I'd won the tickets from the radio, and God wanted me there. He had me step out in faith to sponsor a girl in kenya. I didn't have a job, I'm 17, but I felt God wanted me to trust Him, he told me he'd give me a job. Al the while I could make the payments, god provided, (once a friend gave me 20 dolars for my sponsor girl!!)  and now God gave me a job Smile he's so faithful and I'm so glad he brought me to your concert.

I had to laugh when I was on my way home from clinicals today and heard Brandon Heath was on your show as I was going to try to find his website and email him or write.  I do not know if what I am about to ask is doable but I will ask anyway.  I am the single parent of two awesome children, a daughter that will be 16 February 28 and a son that will be 12 Feb. 16.  God sent me to college almost 6 years ago to be a nurse and it has been very challenging for the three of us.  I have been able to continue with my business of 15 years but found that this year is way too difficult to work all the hours needed for our morgage, bills, etc.  I have had to take out a loan.......My children have been so amazing, supportive, and done without so much in order for me to finish school.  They love christian rock and I am so thankful to God for that.  Their birthdays are coming up and I would love for each of them to have a cd of yours.  I do not have the money it would cost to purchase your cd's from the store.  If you could help with this, I would give what I could towards the cost.  If not, I am always trusting in God.

Brandon, I love your music and so do my children. I have three teen girls and one three year old daughter who go about the house singing your music word for word and I am in "AWE" because they could go around singing songs of worldly artists but have chosen to sing songs of inspiration like "Give me your Eyes" that help them focus on others and not just on themselves. Thank you for writing songs that make a difference and grasp the hearts of Christian families who need to combat the craziness of the songs out there that teach you to hate, hurt, and demoralize God's greatest creations, mankind. We all need to love with God's heart instead of our own and maybe we can truly change the world. Thanks again..

Hey there !!! This is Cindy from San Antonio, TX and my husband and I have been involved with your local little league for about 10 years now.  We have definitely seen God moving in so many ways!  We were recently vandalized to such an extent that even our local media got involved.  These vandals damaged our score boxes, concession stand, fields and tagged everywhere.  We were so heartbroken! For so many kids this field is the only thing they have to look forward to! Columbia Little League is great story of triumph because I am glad to say that Home Depot is going to have a huge maintenance day on Feb. 26th and I think that Brandon should come out and help us out...maybe sing a song or 10!!! I'm so glad you guys are talking about nudges from God.  Recently, I've ignored two such nudges and one grieves me still (I need to let it go, I know).

I am in youth ministry at a large church where the youth group has its own service so I hardly get to go to "grown up church"... plus I attend alone and it's a church full of families.  But one sunday I made it to grown up church and saw a girl who could be a friend's twin - who was sitting alone.  I did not sit by her but she it was as if a spotlight was shining down on her from heaven....nudging me to talk to her after the service.   I thought "no way, we'll never cross paths after church"...but sure enough, after the service we were in the foyer and she STOOD THERE near me..as if she knew I wanted to talk to her, and I chickened out.  I walked over and talked to a youth group teen.

I pray for this young woman and grieve a lost opportunity.  I have no idea if this was her one time in church and she wasn't meeting any friends so she was giving up if no one talked to her (I do have an imagination!)....

so I pray for her and I pray for another chance to talk to her.  And I pay more attention to the nudges that God sends my way.

Brandon is so right.  those little things that we're nudged to do are so often huge to the recipient.  (seriously - if they were HUGE to us, would we do them so willingly?)

Thank you, Brandon, for being a man of God proclaiming what He has for you to tell us - through your songs, words and actions.  Bless you.

Hey Scott and Kelly, Thank you for all the service you do for the Lord through this music station. Could you ask Brandon Heath, "what is your favorite verse and why?" Also could you ask him, "If there was one thing you would say is truly beautiful and proclaims God's power, what is it? Example: Like a hillside of deep purple violas or standing on the beach in the middle of a storm and feeling God's peace"
Thank you Brandon for listening to God's nudging and creating songs that so have touched myself and those around me!

Hey Brandon! Laughing
I'm a fourteen year old girl who lives in Avondale, Arizona & I saw you last Friday at the Winter WonderSlam with TobyMac, you were AMAZING! "Stolen" was probably my favorite, but "Give Me Your Eyes," will always have a soft spot in my heart (as will "Wait and See" because it describes my brother, Kyle, despite not being born in Tennessee. He doesn't always do that best in school, he gets distracted a lot and such, but he loves singing about God, and certainly has a heart of gold and a grand future ahead of him). You brought tears to my eyes, and made me laugh. Great job, and keep it up!
You help give a little more of God's light, and a little more of His love and hope to the world.
One day I hope to become a writer, or maybe even a songwriter-singer, and be able to better reach to others that I can't now and show them the Love, Forgiveness, and Grace that Jesus has for all of us.
Thank you so much! You're FANTASTIC!
Sincerely,
Misty

I was very touched by Brandon's song "I'm not who I was".  It floored me!  I found Brandon on my-space, got his email address and wrote him.  Not expecting to get anything back.  But, he wrote me back!  That still to this day makes my heart flip flop when I think about it!

It just made the next statement all the more real to me...no matter what our calling in life is, we are all here to serve the kingdom. He by writing that e-mail showed that he was serious about his walk with Christ.  He humbled himself to write an e-mail to a fan.  Often times that doesn’t happen.  He is not only a fabulous song writer but also a man of God.

Good afternoon. Thank you Scott and Kelly for your hard work during the afternoons. It brings me much joy to listen to you during work. Hello Brandon Heath. I am glad that you have taken time to be a guest on the show. I have been listening to K-Love since 2008 and still consider myself a young one when it comes to knowing various Christain artists. I listen to songs and try to guess the artist that is singing.  I did great but there were a few that I could not pin down.  I find it funny that, after looking at Brandon Heaths Info. on K-Love's website, they were sung by Mr. Heath himself.  LOL!!  Filled a lot of holes in my head!  I seen a pic of Brandon Heath and Toby McGuire.  They look like brothers!!!  How was it meeting "Spiderman"?  Thank you again and to all have a blessed day.

To be perfectly honest, I had not heard of Brandon Heath before this Christmas.  My sister gave me a CD with some of her favorite songs on it and "Your Love" was included.  I really enjoyed that song and the other songs she burned for me.

Then, on December 29, she was killed in a car accident.  Since that day, "Your Love" has been a constant reminder to me that, really, His love is all I need.  Especially last week (the week before?) when it was Brandon Heath week and you played a snippet from that song practically every minute it just seemed like a message meant for me every time...to keep holding on to Him.

So, I consider "Your Love" to be a gift to me from the Lord, from Brandon Heath, from my sister.  And I'm grateful for that.  I've also downloaded quite a few of your other songs to my ipod...don't worry, I know who Brandon Heath is now Smile.

Brandon Heath, you have changed my life. I'm 14 years old and I've been through more heart-wrenching situations than most 50 year-olds. Give Me Your Eyes was the first Christian song I had ever heard. My mom bought it on her iPod and I started listening to the song. I really liked the sound, and the message it sent. I always thought that christian music was boring hymanls (totally not downing hymanls), but I found out that I was so wrong through your song Give Me Your Eyes. After I heard that song, I started listening to more and more christian music. So your song led me to so much more great Christian music. Your song also led me to God and Jesus. I was saved very soon after I heard your song. Thank you so much for changing my life. You will always be in my prayers, and in my heart. You are my angel.

Hey Brandon I just wanted to say you have encouraged me so much in my first year with walking with Christ. Last year I did World Vision's 30 Hour Famine and our theme song was Give Me Your Eyes and it opened up my eyes to compassion for people. Hey Scott & Kelli... you guys have gotten me thru so many afternoons, so thank you for all you do!  Thanks for having Brandon on... he is awesome!  Brandon, thank you for what you do also... we have a teen ministry from (wait for it) Eden, Wisconsin, and when we heard you do "Leaving Eden" in concert when you were up here in October, we knew immediately that would be our theme song for our upcoming mission trip to Tennessee this summer.  We've taken teens for the last couple of years, and in fact when we went to Louisiana two years ago our song was "Give Me Your Eyes", so you are a pretty famous guy on our bus... Smile Give Me Your Eyes hit us hard as a theme... it really challenged us to use God's eyes when we look at others instead of our own, and that week changed our lives as well as those of the folks we met in Baton Rouge.  Leaving Eden means so much to us... obviously there's the literal meaning of driving a bus out of Eden, Wisconsin... but we're taking a bunch of teens who have never been on a mission trip before, so we are using that song and this trip as a way to challenge them to step outside of your "box"... leave Eden behind, leave it all behind, and reach out of your comfort zone and improve the lives of those who we'll meet in Tennessee through the service work and sharing we'll be doing.  Again Brandon, thanks for doing what you do... you've been blessed with so much talent and it's awesome to hear you share it with the rest of us.  God bless!

I had the opportunity to see Brandon at the Winter Wonderslam concert in San Diego. I had the privilege of meeting him in the main hall. Yes, I came back and bugged you for a picture. Sorry. It was such a great concert! I absolutely love the new album. I happen to love Five Guys and thought it was so funny about the In-N-Out/Five Guys comment. But, I truly appreciate all you do and you are truly blessed to be able to reach so many people in the way you do. I really relate to your music. It has brought me through some tough times and is that reminder that God is the only love that I need in my life and that I do not have to seek it elsewhere. That was one of my toughest struggles. Again, thank you for all you do.
BTW, my mother is 60 and drove down from northern Cali had a blast at the concert. You guys rocked it!

I teach 8th grade in a low income urban school.  No matter how stressful and exhausting my day has been, and there have been many lately, you two have me laughing, or at least smiling, before I get home.  Kelli, please keep laughing.  It is like medicine for me.  When I hear you laugh, I can't not laugh with you.  Thank you for being there for all of us.  I haven't listened to anything except Klove for over 2 years.

Tonight God has spoken volumes to me through two of your songs I heard on KLOVE tonight.  As I was pulling into the parking lot at my counselor's office I heard the words "Everything's Okay".  I didn't even catch the title to the song but the words echoed in my heart as this past week we found out that we are being sued.  My heart has been gripped with fear until I heard those words and the peace that passes all understanding poured over me.  On my way home I was able to hear "Leaving Eden" for the first time and it too really hit home to me.  I loved what you shared about temptation and testing.  My pastor spoke two very profound lines recently that my heart is really trying to absorb; those words were, "temptation asks us to do what is wrong, but testing asks us to do what is right."  Leaving Eden helped bring that all together for me.  Thank you for allowing God to use you to speak to my heart.

Hi Brandon.
Your song "I'm Not Who I Was" has to be one of my favorites.  My first husband walked out on me and our 5 month old daughter to pursue a relationship and pregnancy with his secretary.  I was devestated and VERY angry.  That was 16 years ago and when I heard this song, it was perfect.  You really captured alot of my feelings so well!  I am remarried to a wonderful man. God has blessed me.
I also teach Jr. & Sr. High Sunday School and 2 weeks ago we spent the whole hour with your song, Gimme Your Eyes. The kids really liked it.
Finally, I am SO SO super excited to see you this Fall on the Music Boat 2011. We have been on the last 2.  When I found out that you were going to be there, it helped seal our decision to attend again.  All 3 of my kids, my Mother, my husband and I are big fans.
Thank you for using your gifts for God's Glory.
P.S. Go Steelers!!!

Brandon, Your song i'm not who I was has been such an inspiration in my life. I used to struggle with self mutilation, alcohol abuse and depression. When I accepted Jesus as my savior 5 years ago, my whole life changed. That song was my theme song, because I became the happy, loving person God created me to be, and I am not who I was. I love k-love.

I was so moved by Love Never Fails, once I heard it I ...knew that I had to have it played at my wedding. Now this coming October I will be coming down the isle with that wonderful song of yours playing, although it would be nice for you to come on by and sing it for us lol!! I just know that on that special day of mine I will get the same exact feeling I get everytime I hear it. May God bless you and keep you safe!

Hey Scott and Kelli thanks sooo much for having Brandon on the show.  His new song your Love has touched me so I have picked it as my one word for the year.  Love is what God did when he gave his one and only son to die on the cross for our sins.  I need to be more like him and tell the whole wide world Love is what we need to live by spreading the good news of Jesus Christ.  What is your word for the year?  Monday is the last day according to Lisa and Erik of the morning show.  Thanks again listening to you guys on the way home makes my day better and more Christ like.

Brandon performed in my home town, Walla Walla, WA, circa 2006. "I'm Not Who I Was" had just hit the charts and I lo-o-o-ove the song. So I had to go see him in when he performed at our largest park on afternoon during July 4th celebrations. He deserved a much better gig than Walla Walla, especially since the temperature was 103 degrees at that outdoor concert! Our huge, 100-year-old trees gave us some shade, but it was awfully hot. Nevertheless, Brandon had a wonderful attitude and pulled off an amazing performance with no back up band--only Brandon and his guitar. Afterward, I had him sign an "I'm Not Who I Was" t-shirt for my Air Force Officer son, Dan. Brandon passed on good wishes to Dan, who has now worn the shirt in his travels all over the world. Everywhere he goes people ask, "Well, who were you, then?" It opens the doors wide for a Christian witness! Thanks Brandon for the concert, the shirt, and for opening the doors so Jesus can shine through. You're doing a wonderful job of reflecting Christ.

I have to say - I am pretty shocked at the Ben Roethlisberger conversation you all had earlier on the show.  While it is great that he is on his way to finding God, I feel that the sympathy for him was completely misplaced.  His actions in the past have been atrocious and while he got some bad press, and got slapped with a fine by the NFL (surely not a huge problem when someone has a multimillion Dollar contract with the team going to the Superbowl) his victim(s) have to live with what he did for the rest of their lives.  He is a sexual predator, and we should NOT feel sorry for "all that he has been through."

Thank you Brandon for coming to Kodiak, Alaska last year. We so enjoyed the concert you did. We live on an island and we don't get Christian concerts like that. Brandon was so down to earth, that when he goofed up a song, he admitted it, asked us how many of us caught the mistake and then redid the song. It was refreshing to see someone "famous" being human and personable. We'd love to have him come back anytime!

Hey Brandon, I just wanted to share that after listening to your song "Leaving Eden" there is part that sings to me in such a different level. You see, I lost my husband last year on February 13, 2010 to diabetes and have had a rush of emotions  throughout the year. The part that consold my heart...(lyric)"I'm going, going home...There's no place, no place like home, home"...felt as if my husband was telling me  that he was finally HOME, waiting for me.

So, thank you for helping me heal. February 13 is just around the corner and know that I can put my thoughts aside for I know he is with GOD in heaven.

May God continue to pour out His blessings upon you Brandon.

Brandon: left a msg on KLOVE comment line a few hrs ago but didn't know if it got through & I was talking fast. My brother was married this past August and one of my "gifts" to him and bride was to download your "Love Never Fails" accompaniment track. I then practiced for hours during a # of wks, and was seeking God's discernment if I should offer to sing it at their wedding. I decided I would work w/someone from our worship band to record me singing to this lovely song. It turned out wonderful!!! I then used this version as background music to go along with a powerpoint of pictures I created of them. I emailed them the song, and they wanted me to sing it "live" at their wedding but due to the emotions of the day I thought it best to have this recording. I rec'd many wonderful compliments as ppl heard it at the rehearsal dinr & reception. That was special enough but then I decided to offer my pastor & music person the recording to be shared on Feb. 13th. My pastor took me up on it & said it was God's time since there will be a couple who will renew their wedding vows that Sun ! Smile God used your song in a # of  awesome ways !!! Continued success & inspiration for future songs!!!

I forgot to note that when I heard you talking on the air alot was mentioned about Nashville & the wonderful ppl where you live. I must wholeheartedly agree since that's where my brother & his wife reside, and I've definitely seen the love & inclusion of others when I've gone to visit. He's also in the music business but right now he's focused on plugging other ppl's songs but I'm sure, in God's timing, the world will be hearing his songs on the radio!! Smile

Brandon,
Love your music and ministry - awesome!  But don't give up on those of us that grew up and love country music like yourself.  Why not record an album catering to us?  Randy Travis, Sawyer Brown, and others help us out occasionally, but it would be great to have more artists in the country genre supporting believers in the Great Plains and Western skies.  After all, "God must be a cowboy" according to Dan Seals.
May God continue to bless you and your work.

Just heard you talking about the Super Bowl.  I am an avid Steeler fan from South Dakota where I'm totally surrounded by Vikings fans!!!  It is refreshing to hear the stories about Big Ben on this station.  It reminds me that we all fall short, but we serve a loving...and forgiving God!  I have chosen not to judge Big Ben this past year, but to pray for him and I believe those prayers are paying off.  Did you hear him after the championship...he said "God is Good" and I believe he meant it.

I just have to tell you how much I love the song "Give me your eyes."  My five kiddos and I recently escaped a violent situation and there have been days where it took everything in me just to get out of bed.  Listening to songs like that remind me that there are others in this world in pain and it helps me refocus my life on serving God and helping them, and in the process I am finding a new kind of peace I hadn't known existed.
