Keep your kids safe on Facebook

Experts say that there are some basic steps we can take as parents to help keep our kids safe on social networking sites like Facebook. First step, if you don't have a Facebook account, get one and learn about it before you allow your teen to get one. Another suggestion, teach your kids to use common sense. Don't put your social security number, address or phone number online. Finally, don't teach your kids to be dishonest! You don't want them to be dishonest in real life, so don't teach them to lie about their age, etc. online.

Here is the link for Matt's blog,, where you can read about the journey they have been on, see some pictures and learn how you can pray specifically for little Bowen. Thanks so much for praying!

Hi Scott and Kelli,

You are the DJ's I hear the most when I listen to K-Love. I find it funny how your website lists Central time and Pacific Time but totally neglects to mention Eastern Standard Time, which is normally the most featured time zone. Anyway, because you are located in another time zone, I hear you mostly in the afternoons.

I really like your friendly banter. I like how positive and upbeat both of you are. I like the little stories you tell and the jokes you make. I find your attitude so refreshing from what is on normal radio stations. I am a Christian too, so maybe I just like your vibe because of that. But you are always touting positive aspects of Christianity. That is very encouraging.

And of course, I really love K-Love's music. I go to YouTube and favorite all the good songs. I should have bought your K-Love compilation a while back. So many of the songs on your station have taken on real meaning in my life. Like JJ Heller's song came on when I just got a new girlfriend who loved me for me. And then Lead me came on and that same girlfriend talked about how she thought I would be a good spiritual leader.

The music teaches me a lot about God, and that is what I like. I know God reaches people in so many different ways, but God really reaches me through K-Love's type of music. I also like your little snippets of the Gospel that you have from time to time. Those always encourage me too. I don't know why I am so selective about where my spiritual benefits come from, but I am just not crazy about sermons, unless they come from my own Pastor, who I really like. There is another station in Gardner that plays a lot of sermons. Snoozeville! Man, if they want to turn people on to God, play good music like K-Love.

Thanks you two. I really enjoy your show.

Love, Jim Bures

Hey Scott and Kelli! I love you guys the most on the station cause you both are so much fun and you always have such a cool story to tell or you encourage me all the time! I would just like you all to pray for my church because today a very nice man in our church went home to heaven today or sometime last night. He left most of his family and alot of friends. So if you would just pray for them they all would appreciate it alot and thanks for your ministry.
