Don't worry...God will help you!

What a wonderful reminder when all these tornadoes are rampaging through all our states and so much hurt is left behind. Philippians 4:6 says be anxious for nothing, but with thanksgiving bring our request to the Lord, and Jesus' peace - which surpasses all understanding - will guard our hearts and minds. AMEN! May those in Joplin pray this and know we pray it for them, so they will have peace.Paul says God our Father is the source of every mercy and the God who comforts us (2 Corinthians 1:3). Thank you Kelli for your daily reminder that we look to Jesus for all our needs! Amen!

I heard Lisa reading this on my way to work this morning after not sleeping well, again. The message is just what I needed to remind me of who is in control of my problems, and it is not me. I have been struggling financially for a while and don't know what to do. I am now 1 month and close to two months behind on my mortgage, plus, plus, plus. I have always been great with handling bills but not lately. I'm just a mess. I have a job, elementary teacher, but my life has become a mess with money. Prices rise and pay checks don't, plus over spending on my own. Where to turn, God, but I forget to allow him to handle it. Thank you Scott and Kelli for my ride home from work and Lisa and Eric for my ride to work. You're the best.

I have the opportunity each day to re-practice this truth and even though I have been a strong christian for many years, I am amazed at the devil's ability to make me fear and worry at times.
Friends can be of invaluable help to you at a time like this and guess who they will look to when they are in distress?  maybe YOU! Stay in the Word!
