I really enjoyed your interview with Max Lucado, I am looking forward to reading his book.  I learned rather abruptly that we can't survive if we try to do it alone.  Life can seem so hopeless.
I lost my first husband when I was 29, I had 2 girls 8 and 3 1/2, another young mother from same town lost hers also and her children were younger.  It seemed as though I got through the grief process much easier then I realized it was because I had Christ there to walk me through and I had no need or desire to lean on myself.
My latest husband of 26 years just divorced me, here again I am so certain that I would never make it on my own and more than thrilled that Christ has given me a mighty big hand to guide me through.
The times aren't any easier when you suffer a tragedy or loss, but when we all get to the other side those that have Christ come out feeling a sense of healing and the ability to move on.
