Rabbit. Rabbit.

What is Rabbit Rabbit?

"Rabbit rabbit" other than Kelli's silly family tradition it is when a person says "rabbit, rabbit" first on the first day of each month for good luck for the duration of the month. In the United States, the tradition is especially common in Nantucket, Cape Cod, other towns within Massachusetts, and throughout Vermont, notably in Middlebury and Chester.

Rabbit Rabbit for April 1st... got you Kelli!

About the Senior discount thing, mine was the opposite, I went out to get some wine at a nearby store and was asked to show my ID, this was two years ago when I was 44!!
I went back home and my husband said, "honey, you should just wear the same clothes all the time, oh yes, you look like a high school kid".
Needless to say the lady at the check out was v v v v surprised.

Isn't that funny! Our Principal at our school reminded all the students yesterday (as he does each month) at our afternoon assembly, about rabbit rabbit... then he usually comes on morning announcements saying it... But today we had a Snow Day!!! So, can we say it on March 2?......  But we also have Dr. Seuss Day... So Rabbit Rabbit will have to share the custom with Dr. Seuss' birthday!

I find the Rabbit Rabbit story interesting as I have lived in Middlebury Vt since I was a small child and have never heard this.
