Bro. Scott,
Thank You to you and the young brothers that will be investing in the lives of others in Mexicali, Mexico.  I live only 15 miles away from Mexicali on U.S. side and have many family members that currently reside in Mexicali that live in poverty, however they are rich in the Lord! Answering the call to help the poor is such a blessing and I pray that all of you will leave Mexicali as blessed as the people you will be reaching and impacting! May GOD bless you and I pray for travel mercies over the entire group. If you need extra help, please let me know. I am sure that through my church (Victory Outreach,Intl.)there are people ready to labor for the glory of GOD!

My comment is aqbout Eric. I listened to his story and thanked God for him and for Jerry. Jerry is a true friend. He knows about being a true friend from the best friend we could ever have, Christ The Lord. I pray that we all take this lesson from Jerry about what Christ expects from us. If we could all just love like that the world would be such a better place. I pray especially for fatherless children. The men in the world need to step up to the plate and give mentorship to their children. The father's role is so underappreciated. The women in this world need to encourage their children's fathers and express that they are valued and necessary. A wonderful pastor once said to us "Men, do you love your children? Then love their mother. Women, do you love your children? Then love their father. The natural family is becoming extinct. Only in hindsight do we see the damage caused by our poor choices and the price our children pay. Many of us would go back and rewind the clock.

I went to Mexicali on a missions trip in 2000. It was one of the most life changing experiences, God's hand is doing a mighty work down there.  You will have a great time there. You are in my prayers and enjoy your trip!
God bless,
PS buy a blanket that the locals make when you get there, if your staying in a tent you will freeze at night.
