Once in a Lifetime

Just heard you mention the budget tip of trying to not spend any money for one day per week. Sounds interesting.

I'll pass on another that I learned while working with familes in our home church. I call it catching the "Just" money before it is spent. What we have found over the years is that a large amount of a budget is spent on things that are rationalized as, "Well, it was just a cup of coffee," or "Well, it was just a quick lunch," or "Well, it was just a drink with friends after work," or "Well, it was just ...". When all the "Just" expenses are added up though, it really adds up. What we also found out was that much of the impacts to the budget, and "Just" money in particular is for comfort or convenience.

My son has 2 cochlear implants! Nothing sweeter than seeing your child hear for the first time - and then hearing them talk to you for the first time is amazing!
