Summer Time

I don't remember by first summer but I do remember my first week of kindergarten. I grew up on a Navy base in the middle of the Mojave Desert. Lots of security on base. I went to school for the first week of school just fine. My Mom was helping me in the morning get ready for school each day. When Saturday came, I got up just like normal but I did not understand why my Mom was not up but that was ok, I knew what to do by now. I walked my ¾ of a mile to school like normal but no one was there. So I sat in the raised flower bed by the room door to wait for everyone to get there. In the meantime my Mom and Dad got up and started looking for me. After an hour of searching with neighbors in the neighborhood they called Base Security. An alarm was set off on the Base looking for me. Base Security found me at my school and my parents came to get me. I did not know school was only for five days. I thought it was forever. I know now! Thanks for letting me share. I have laughed about this with friends for a long time. This station is the best. I love the Jesus and the music. I now live in Hawaii for 40 years.
