Keep your kids safe on Facebook

Experts say that there are some basic steps we can take as parents to help keep our kids safe on social networking sites like Facebook. First step, if you don't have a Facebook account, get one and learn about it before you allow your teen to get one. Another suggestion, teach your kids to use common sense. Don't put your social security number, address or phone number online. Finally, don't teach your kids to be dishonest! You don't want them to be dishonest in real life, so don't teach them to lie about their age, etc. online.

Olympians Respond to Critics

Serena Williams' Crip Walk Dance Criticized As Inappropriate (VIDEO). Huffington Post

Serena Williams was so overjoyed after defeating Maria Sharapova in the Olympic singles and winning the gold that she broke into a Crip Walk dance. "It was just me. I love to dance," Williams told reporters who inquired about her Crip Walk. "I didn't know what else to do. I was so happy, and next thing I know I started dancing and moving. I didn't plan it. It just happened."

Gabby Douglas Hair: Olympian's Mom, Natalie Hawkins, Responds To Daughter's Hair Critics. Huffington Post

“How ignorant is it of people to comment on her hair and she still has more competitions to go. Are you trying to ruin her self confidence?," Hawkins told Fashionista.com. "She has to go out there and feel good about herself, and if she feels good about herself on that floor, who are you to criticize her? What have you done to help contribute to her dream, that you felt it necessary to put it out there so that she could see it.”

I've begun to think people are just becoming more mean and hateful. From such frivolous, unnecessary criticims, to outright bullying to our political climate, to outright killing of people in schools, theaters, temples... There is such a strong spirit of darkness across America and around the world, one wonders how much more has to happen before Jesus returns?
