I heard your note on the science teacher and creation vs evolution. Being an engineer/science graduate, reading Francis S Collins' (leader of the Human Genome project and faithful follower of Christ) The Language of God is helping me to work through my struggle with the two versions. I say versions because if you read his book and specifically his chapter on Darwin, he makes a great case for the two versions (creation vs evolution) coexisting as variations of the same actual course of events. A lot leans on your interpretation of Genesis as factual timeline, or poetic license as it relates to the 7 days reference. Just an offering as I work through the same topic.
