I was 15 years old when I first threw the headphones on and turned on a microphone. My voice was squeaky, and I was only allowed to read a quick weather forecast between innings of a Kansas City Royal's baseball broadcast on tiny KIKS-FM in Iola, Kansas.
My voice matured over the years and I was trusted with more "on-air" moments. I got my first full-time radio job offer the day of my high school graduation. Radio has taken me to many places, Joplin, Missouri, West Palm Beach, Florida and Grand Rapids, Michigan.
I have been married to Tricia for 27 years am the father to 3 children, Kaylee, Chloe and Josiah. My family has become a great source of material to share over the air, and you may be hearing a great deal about them!
I love to go on Mission Trips, smoke ribs and brisket in my wood smoker, I race a stock car on Saturday Nights and I am the biggest Kansas Jayhawk Fan around.
