      Mike Fisher plays professional ice hockey for the Nashville Predators. Fisher grew up playing hockey in the Peterborough Minor Hockey Association in Canada. He went on to play for the Ottawa Senators. He recorded nine points in an injury-shortened 32-game rookie season. Known for his aggressive style of play and grittiness, Fisher revealed his penchant for offensive production as he improved to 18 goals and 38 points in his fourth season with the Senators. Throughout his next subsequent seasons, Fisher become an integral part of the Senators team, eventually being named Assistant Captain. During the NHL lockout in 2004-2005, he joined EV Zug of the Swiss Elite League. Recording 27 points in 21 games that year, Fisher played for Team Canada at the 2005 World Championships. He holds Ottawa’s unofficial hardest shot record at 105 mph. In 2011, Fisher was traded to the Preds. In 2012, he received the NHL Foundation Player Award, given to an NHL player who applies the core values of hockey to enrich the lives of people in his community. Fisher is married to country sensation Carrie Underwood.
