    Board Operator - Part Time Weekends

    We are currently looking for a Weekend Board Operator.  Our Board Ops have the important responsibility of monitoring our systems to make sure that everything you hear on air, gets played on time, smoothly and without any glitches. They also answer the studio phone lines.  We are looking for someone super reliable, dependable and someone who realizes this is about the listener's; their experience and the tremendous effect you can have on their lives.

    This is an on-site position based at our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements :

    • Knowledge of equipment used for electric audio or production of on-air material.
    • Audio production background is a plus.
    • Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technologies/systems quickly
    • Good written & verbal communication skills.
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work a variety of shift hours (day, evening, weekends, etc.).

    Educational Requirements:   High School Diploma

    Hours Of Work:   6-8 hour shift on Saturday, 6-8 hour shift on Sunday.  Shift hours will rotate, which means you will sometimes work days, swing, & overnights.

    Director of Philanthropy

      The Director of Philanthropy is a unique position. It’s responsible for the continued growth of our relationships with donors and achievement of financial goals that fund key ministry initiatives. This role is responsible for donor development and relationship building including: developing and implementing a comprehensive strategy, creating and achieving annual plans and objectives, cultivating relationships and generating funds/gifts/donations for initiatives like signal expansion, pastoral services or challenge gifts during pledge drives. This position leads and inspires a national team in the representation of the ministry, relationship building and achievement of goals and plans. It reports to the CEO and President.
    Leadership

    Support and create enthusiasm for the mission of K-LOVE/Air1 which is to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ.
    Demonstrate EMF’s values, on and off the job, and ensure Philanthropy Team Members reflect the ministry’s culture and values.
    Provide a collaborative and flexible leadership style where teamwork and service is highly valued.
    Encourage a results oriented culture - establish department, team and individual goals where performance is measured against goals; provide regular feedback to team members and formal feedback on a semi-annual basis via the Performance Conversations tool.
    Foster a culture of continual learning and improvement for Philanthropy Team Members.

    Strategic Planning

    Lead the strategic planning and budgeting efforts for Philanthropy and ensure Philanthropy initiatives are aligned with ministry objectives 2 to 3 years out. Identify and develop new, unique, and impactful opportunities to grow the Foundation.
    Establish, enhance and administer Foundation initiatives to achieve both short and long range fundraising goals.
    Regularly assess performance against goals and adjust plans based on actual performance and changes in ministry initiatives.

    Department Oversight

    To accomplish objectives, this position will devote time between two primary areas of responsibility:
    Roughly 50% of the time is dedicated to face-to-face interaction and visits with national portfolio and select principal gift-level donors with a focus on obtaining gifts for EMF priorities.
    Roughly 50% of the time is dedicated to leading day-to-day operational responsibilities of Philanthropy Team, and advancing the Foundation’s major fundraising strategic plan.
    Lead and develop a National team including the Manager of Regional Representatives, Regional Representatives and Operational staff by evaluating performance, providing coaching, training and mentoring opportunities in order to maximize staff performance and professional growth.  
    Partner with other functional areas and departments such as Programming, Events, Data Science & Insights, and Business Partners.  
    Partner with Programming & Events when and if applicable to tie on-air and local/national activities with donors and possible partners
    Partner with Data Science & Insights, providing input into analytics/reports, reviewing outcomes and evaluating lessons learned
    Oversee design and production of development and correspondence materials to include print and media.

    Experience and Expertise

    Minimum of 10 years of management experience in donor development.
    Successful experience establishing and achieving/exceeding fundraising goals and frameworks for self and a team.
    Management of a national or remote team of at least 4 direct reports and/or staff of 10+ total. Management to include hiring, performance management, and celebration.
    Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships. Experience and skill in creating a contagious and sustained enthusiasm in others.
    Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
    Demonstrated commitment to the social sector with a passion for our mission and values
    Working knowledge or background in media, entertainment, and/or broadcasting a plus

    Education
    BS/ BA Degree, or equivalent experience

    Events Team Representative - Denver, CO

    Our Events Team Representatives (ETR's) are responsible for promoting and positively representing K-LOVE and Air1 within their territory. Our ETR's develop strong relationships and “presence" within their local communities to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners.

    A day in the life.......

    OK there's not a typical day in the life of an ETR, however it could look something like...wake up and thank God for this day and the opportunities to change lives. You might need a cup of coffee for that, so go ahead, enjoy. Jump in your car and turn on K-LOVE or Air1! Now you’re ready to hit the ground running. Say "good morning" to your fellow co-workers, head straight to a strategy meeting with your team, then make calls, connect with community and church leaders or event directors to discuss partnerships. You might take a 10 minute break and pray for our listeners, using our "pray4one" app, take time to coordinate and check details for your next event, write copy, use social media to announce a listener contest or talk to one of our valued volunteers. Grab a snack because you’re going to need it for your afternoon promotion downtown. Jump in the K-LOVE car and meet your volunteers to spread the word and the music. Fast forward a few hours, wow, that was amazing! It's late, you're physically tired, but there's an energy buzzing inside of you from all those incredible listener stories! You know you're making an impact. Today was a blessed day and on your way home you can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow.

    FCC Office Assistant - Newhall, CA

    The FCC Office Assistant will serve as the EMF representative based in Newhall, CA. This position is responsible for general office duties and ensuring ongoing station compliance and assisting Regional Public Affairs Managers with administrative tasks.  This position is based in Newhall, California and is a part time position.

    A few responsibilities include...

    • Maintain the facility, ensuring access to the public during business hours and maintain a neat and clean facility that is compliant with a safe and healthy environment
    • Maintenance of FCC public files and filing of new items as received
    • Assist in responding to FCC inspections as required
    • Respond to questions and requests from the public and FCC regarding station and FCC rules and regulations
    • Compile and send Quarterly Issues Reports for Affiliate Stations (non-EMF owned)
    • Provide administrative support as needed to RPAMS (Regional Public Affairs Managers)

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • 1 years of experience providing administrative support. Prior experience maintaining an office (within the broadcast industry a plus!)

    Field Engineer II - Central Region

    Our Field Engineers are the first line of defense when maintaining our radio networks.  They make sure that we are on-air and transmitting at the best possible quality.  We have a huge responsibility to our listeners, broadcasting 24/7, 365 days/year, and our Field Engineers do not take this responsibility lightly. In addition to maintaining our existing signals, they are also involved with some pretty cool signal expansion projects!

    This position is a part of a National Engineering Team that has been blessed with technical resources unequal to many broadcasting companies in our country!

    This position is responsible for the Central Region.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    Field Engineer II position is a mid-level broadcast engineering position that provides technical and engineering support to a variety of broadcast facilities in our Central Region, ensuring EMF programming is broadcast successfully and to the highest level of quality. The work performed takes place in a range of locations and work situations.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements:

    • Minimum of 3+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
    • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
    • Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic and logical manner
    • Ability to read and understand basic electronic schematics, electrical drawings, and construction drawings, making appropriate modifications when necessary
    • Ability to add, subtracts, multiply and divides in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formulae such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
    • Elementary understanding of satellite technology
    • Basic understanding of radio frequency emissions.
    • Ability to solder and de solder electronic components without causing damage to the components or PC board.
    • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
    • Ability to apply common-sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in oral, written or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situation. Ability to think logically from problem to solution. .
    • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
    • Proficiency with MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)
    • Candidates residing within the Central Time Zone preferred.

    Educational Requirements:

    • Bachelor’s Degree in electronics; or equivalent work experience in related field

    Internship - IT/Quality Assurance

    Are you a college student (MIS/Computer Science major) within the greater Sacramento area, in need of an internship within the Information Technology field?

    If so, K-LOVE & Air1 Media Networks has an exciting internship opportunity! This 12 week internship is specifically targeting students with interest in the IT field and a passion for ministry.

    The Quality Assurance Intern’s learning experience will walk through the QA process used during the systems development life cycle.

    This internship is at our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    To qualify for this internship, you must be.... 

    • A student currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS or a related field.
    • Enrolled in a school where an internship is required for graduation.
    • In at least their 2nd year of college.
    • The best candidate will have a keen interest in and be up to date on technology trends, and preferably be studying in and IT field.
    • Familiarity with requirements & design documents.
    • Familiarity with testing and/or development within a windows environment. (.NET a plus!)
    • Must work successfully in a team environment and listen effectively while being respectful of others’ perspectives and contributions.

    Lead Events Team Representative - Charlotte, NC

    While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Lead Events Team Representatives are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go large community events, concerts or festivals.

    First and foremost we are looking for someone who has the Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ" in other words, it's not about us, it's all about our listeners and Him. Our culture is extremely unique, we are not like any other radio station you have ever listened to or worked for. Beyond that here are a few things you will be doing:

    Our Lead Events Team Representatives are the senior/lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Events Team Representatives in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The Lead Events Team Representatives will lead the team to create awareness of the ministry within their community; you get to build relationships with community leaders, engage our listeners, create social media campaigns, expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1. You will collaborate with our creative department, philanthropy, business services and underwriters; AND deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office.  Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach. This position is based out of our brand new office in Charlotte, North Carolina.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
    • Prior experience working in a supervisory role/coaching/leading.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
    • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.
    • Good understanding of the local market & how to best approach promotions within this market.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.

    Lead Events Team Representative - Southern (Corona) CA

    While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Lead Events Team Representatives are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go large community events, concerts or festivals.

    First and foremost we are looking for someone who has the Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ" in other words, it's not about us, it's all about our listeners and Him. Our culture is extremely unique, we are not like any other radio station you have ever listened to or worked for. Beyond that here are a few things you will be doing:

    Our Lead Events Team Representatives are the senior/lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Events Team Representatives in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The Lead Events Team Representatives will lead the team to create awareness of the ministry within their community; you get to build relationships with community leaders, engage our listeners, create social media campaigns, expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1. You will collaborate with our creative department, philanthropy, business services and underwriters; AND deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office.  Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach. This position is based out of our Corona, CA office.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
    • Prior experience working in a supervisory role/coaching/leading.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
    • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.

    Network Administrator

    As a Network Administrator you'll be responsible for providing technical support for our Data, Voice, Video and Wireless network services.  This involves capturing requirements, resolving trouble tickets & providing immediate support to end users.  You'll also contribute to all aspects of network hardware planning, configuration, integration and routing maintenance as well as network security & monitoring.

    A few tasks & responsibilities include...

    • Team member on network projects that will design, implement & support an innovative dynamic media ministry.

    • Configure & maintain network patch panels and perform cable management.

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • 5 years of IT experience with 2 years of network support experience in a production environment.
    • Experience in IP networks supporting network administration tasks such a moves, adds, changes, on Network hardware/software and cable infrastructure.
    • Hands on experience with Cisco switches and router technologies.
    • Experience with Network performance and optimization tools a must.
    • Practical experience with network monitoring tools

    Network Operations Center (NOC) Operator - Part time - weekend, Day/Swing/Overnight Available


    Our Network Operations Center (NOC) Operators have the huge responsibility of monitoring the operations of EMF's radio networks, including controlling transmitters and maintaining transmitter logs, and taking corrective action to resolve issues or report problems for corrective action.

    So ask yourself, do your friends and family always call you to “fix” their cars, stereos, computers or gadgets? Do you get a thrill when after spending hours trying to figure out why an inanimate piece of equipment isn’t working, you find the problem and solve it?! How about emails? Can you send, receive, read and act on hundreds of emails daily, while using your outstanding communication skills providing our field engineers with accurate and clear information, assisting vendors and working with internal EMF team members? AND while all that’s going on your monitoring our 750+ signals all over the country to be proactive in ensuring they do not go down all while remaining very Zen. Why would we care about that? Because that 1 listener that desperately needs encouragement will turn on the radio and expect to hear a song which will speak directly to them, might even just save their life that day. Yes, this is an extremely important position within EMF and we are looking for someone that would love to be a part of it.

    Here's what you will be doing

    • Interpret and verify coded audible or visible signals received on transmitter remote control systems indicating transmitter or other related problems at EMF’s facilities.
    • Use advanced trouble-shooting skills to isolate and repair equipment and/or resolve software/firmware problems in broadcast equipment.
    • Take corrective and proactive action to resolve problems or report problems to Engineers and/or coordinate contract personnel for dispatch for corrective action with moderate supervision.
    • Assist Engineers with operation, testing, and remote repair of broadcast equipment (such as remote control equipment, satellite-fed equipment and communications equipment) used in radio broadcasting.
    • Partner and communicate with employee and contract engineers in Rocklin and in remote locations to accomplish objectives and tasks.
    • Create, update and close work orders.
    • Verify daily delivery and integrity of transmitter and activity logs. In addition, prepare other reports including telemetry analysis as appropriate.
    • Adjust Network Operations Center equipment to ensure uninterrupted service.
    • Assist in various adjustments and repairs to EMF uplink and related  equipment.
    • May contribute written documentation of processes and procedures, adhering to EMF Documentation standards, as required and directed by supervisor.

    • Proactively contributes to the team environment, balancing team and individual responsibilities.

    • Build morale and group commitment to goals and objects, providing support and encouragement within the work environment.

    • Maintain professional competency, knowledge and skills necessary to effectively perform job duties by taking personal responsibility for professional development and training. 

    Skills and experience we would like to see

    • Basic knowledge of transmitter operations and legal limits.
    • Basic knowledge of SMTP, IP, VSAT, Remote Control Systems, Processors, Endecs, etc. to perform NOC duties as assigned .

    Regional Representative for our Philanthropy Foundation - Denver, CO

    Our Story


    A few years ago the K-LOVE and Air1 leadership felt a need to go deeper with donor partners who have faithfully supported our pledge drives. Our donor partners wanted to know more details on how this ministry invests gifts in Great Commission work and about our vision to reach even more souls for Christ. Leadership quickly came to understand the motivation for these inquiries was that some of our donor partners wanted to be given options and assistance towards different ways of giving. For some donor partners there is joy in influencing others with a pledge drive challenge gift. For other donor partners it is the pleasure of providing resources which enable ministry staff to work more efficiently and effectively. After much thought and prayerful decision making, The K-LOVE and Air1 Foundation was founded in 2007. The Foundation has been established as a resource to provide additional information about projects that will expand our ministry and to help its donor partners make tax-wise gifts which have the greatest influence for good. We’re looking forward to the works God has in store for us this year.

    Senior Events Team Manager - Charlotte, Indy, Nashville
