    Accounting and Tax Support - Temporary

    This is a temporary position to assist our Finance/Accounting department with property tax preparation.

    Temporary Assignment Dates:  January 2015 to May 2015

    Work Hours:   Monday - Friday, Normal business hours.  40 hr/wk, onsite.

    Required Experience:

    • Prior experience preparing property taxes (preferably for multiple states)
    • Experience using tax programs - in-putting of information for general compliance and reporting.
    • Experience researching and reviewing legal documents such as lease contracts & purchase agreements.

    Associate Pastor - Rocklin, CA

    Most people know that our staff Pastors minister to our listeners and help them through crisis via phone & email.  That's true for this position as well.  BUT this specific role is a pretty unique.  In addition to ministering to our listeners, this position will also be responsible for creating and managing content for our pastoral team's online presence (web & social media content). 

    Yes, we are looking for someone with the Pastoral experience & credentials that we typically look for, BUT we are also looking for someone who is technically savvy who has a good understanding of writing for the web & social media audience.   

    This is a Full-Time, on-site position based out of our headquarters in Rocklin, CA

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • 6-10 years of Pastoral experience, handling all aspects of the office of a Pastor.
    • Licensed and/or Ordained minister with a recognized Church or denomination.
    • Prior biblical counseling experience and be equipped to deal with suicide, child abuse, elder abuse, marriage problems, personal problems, spiritual problems and/or any other problems associated with life and its experiences and provide biblical counseling.
    • Excellent writing/editing skills.  Preferably with experience writing for the web, blogs, social media, etc.
    • This is a computer intensive role, so strong computer skills are a must! Solid experience using MS Office  (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Internet Explorer).  Experience with content management systems (preferably EKTRON) a plus!  And a quick typing speed is definitely helpful.
    • Must be able to handle incredibly high volumes of calls & emails.
    • Candidates who currently reside in the greater Sacramento area preferred.

    Educational Requirements:       Bachelors and/or Associate Degree in the Ministerial or Counseling field from a recognized College or Religious Institution.

    Board Operator - Weekends - rotating shifts

    We are currently looking for a Part Time Board Operator.  Our Board Ops have the HUGE responsibility of monitoring our systems to make sure that everything you hear on air, gets played on time, smoothly and without any glitches. They also answer the studio phone lines.  We are looking for someone super reliable,dependable and someone who realizes this is about the listener's; their experience and the tremendous effect you can have on their lives.

    This is an on-site position based at our headquarters in Rocklin, CA.

    Qualification/Experience Requirements :

    • Knowledge of equipment used for electric audio or production of on-air material.
    • Audio production background is a plus.
    • Proven ability to deal with multiple, simultaneous problems in a systematic, logical manner.
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently; establishing and meeting performance/ministry goals.
    • Strong computer skills and ability to learn new technologies/systems quickly
    • Good written & verbal communication skills.
    • Flexible schedule with the ability to work a variety of shift hours (day, evening, weekends, etc.).

    Business Analyst

    The Business Analyst on our Digital Media Team serves as the Business Analyst for all web, mobile and digital related projects (new development & change requests) that enhance the K-LOVE and Air1 brands. You'll be responsible for gathering and analyzing data, defining business specifications, and analyzing and documenting business processes. While also focusing on providing support and training to various ministry users and serving as the primary liaison to these users.

     

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • Bachelors Degree in IT, MIS or Business
    • 3+ Years of experience in a cross-functional Business Analysis role - interpreting business needs and translating them into application and operational requirements.
    • Experience collecting, analyzing and presenting data.
    • Experience conducting business studies and recommend solutions.
    • Experience creating common diagrams (DFD, ERD, Functional Decomp, etc.)
    • Experience creating and maintaining web taxonomy, wireframes, information architecture, and content maps

    Digital Content Producer I

    How do you feel about wearing hats? We all wear hats. Right?  “Work” hat. “Play” hat. “Ministry” hat. Some days we even have hats on top of hats!  We're no different here. In fact, that’s exactly what we’re looking for in a Digital Content Producer - someone who can wear a few different hats and make it all look good.

    In this role, you’ll be working closely with a whole bunch of creative & talented folks - always wearing your “relationship building” hat, and sometimes throwing on your “SEO” hat and other times putting on your “Web Expert” hat.

    Since our Digital Content Producer I  is responsible for producing & publishing the web page for KLOVE.com and Air1.com,  you will also need your  "Content Producer" hat.  You do have that right?  Because you'll need it, when you're doing an editorial review of content for quality assurance, search engine optimization (SEO) and brand standard compliance.  (Oh, I think that might involve a few hats.)

    Here are some of the cool things that you'll get to do in this role!

    • Schedule and publish the Air 1 and K-LOVE web pages.
    • Coordinate among cross functional departments to identify Web challenges and proactively recommend and implement solutions.
    • Update the web pages. Fix site issues as they arise in a timely manner.
    • Write persuasive, readable stories, articles and headliners to promote a message to readers.
    • Work closely with copywriters on content refreshes, editorial changes, and search engine optimization (SEO). Ensure that copy optimizes search engine results.
    • Further enhance web copy with implementation of original and creative ideas.
    • Work with analysts and web developers when new wireframes and website features are being developed.

    What does it take to do this job?

    Field Engineer I - MI/IN

    Our Field Engineers  have the huge responsibility of making sure that our transmitters stay on air & are sounding good.  Without this team of amazing techies, we would not be able to reach the millions of listeners that rely on K-LOVE and Air1 for their daily dose of encouragement. 

    Our field engineers brave the elements and travel to remote locations within their region to repair transmitters or other broadcast equipment, install satellite dishes, update firmware and whatever else needs to be done to keep our sites functioning well.  They do it all!

    Here's what we're looking for...

    • Minimum of 2+ years experience troubleshooting and repairing failures in broadcast electronic equipment – trouble shooting audio & RF issues in a radio transmission system.
    • Thorough understanding of the components necessary in a broadcast air-chain
    • Ability to carry out calculations in common broadcast-related formula such as transmitter efficiency, transmitter power output, wavelengths, and antenna system gain
    • Knowledge of applicable, broadcast-related FCC rules and regulations.
    • Proficiency with standard broadcast test equipment, such as VOMs, oscilloscopes, and RF spectrum analyzers.
    • Ability to work independently with a high level of integrity.
    • Strong computer skills with to include MS Office products and other common software (Internet browsers, etc.)
    • Our Engineers support each other in the field through phone calls,  in-person; whatever it takes, so being a TEAM PLAYER is very important!

    Lead Promotions Manager - Pittsburgh, PA

    While our DJs may be the voice of the ministry, our Promotions Managers are the face of the ministry. THEY are the people that you see at the K-LOVE & Air1 booth when you go large community events, concerts or festivals.

    First and foremost we are looking for someone who has the Passion for our mission "Create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ" in other words, it's not about us, it's all about our listeners and Him. Our culture is extremely unique, we are not like any other radio station you have ever listened to or worked for. Beyond that here are a few things you will be doing:

    Our Lead Promotions Managers (LPMs) are the senior/lead members of a Promotions team.  They serve as a coach & mentor to Promotions Managers in the area of promotional strategies, planning, techniques and best practices.   The LPM will lead the team to create awareness of the ministry within their community; you get to build relationships with community leaders, engage our listeners, create social media campaigns, expose the radio station to people who have never heard K-LOVE and Air1. You will collaborate with our creative department, philanthropy, business services and underwriters; AND deepen listener’s experience through service opportunities, ministry outreach, events and concerts within 3 hours of the local office.  Success will be measured by increased cume, web visits, donations, social media participation, listener attendance at events and involvement in ministry outreach.  We have a well established market and it is time to go BIG. Larger events, more events, partner with other larger organizations such as sports team to spread the word. This position is based out of the Pittsburgh area.

    Minimum Qualifications

    • Minimum of 3 years of experience planning, coordinating & executing promotional events within the radio, media or music industry.
    • Prior experience working in a supervisory role/coaching/leading.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques.
    • Strong understanding of how to utilize social media in a promotional capacity.
    • Good understanding of the local market & how to best approach promotions within this market.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to develop sincere business/ministry relationships.

Our Listener Services Team (LSR) provides support 24/7, 365 days a year. We have 35+ employees dedicated & passionate about our mission; to create compelling media that inspires and encourages our listeners to have a meaningful relationship with Christ. We need someone who will serve as the “glue” and “support system” for our LSR team.  And believe me, this is no small task!  It’s always crazy busy. Change is a constant in this industry.  That’s just the nature of the biz, so you really have to be cool with that.

     

    The Listener Services Supervisor, reports to the Sr. Manager of Service Experience, and leads the day shift team of Listener Services Representatives in a way that exemplifies the mission and values of K-LOVE and Air1 and creates extraordinary moments one listener at a time. This is a working supervisor who leads their team of LSR’s on a specified shift and serves as a backup for other shifts.

    Work hours for this position are 5am - 1:30pm. Requires 4 weekend days per month.

    Some of the daily responsibilities include...

    • Contribute to long term planning and vision implementation.
    • Communicate with assigned team and leadership.
    • Engage management on Listener Services issues, trends, and makes suggestions for process improvements.
    • Partner with management to implement Listener Services key initiatives, with a focus on ensuring a positive listener experience.
    • Develop a well-trained, cohesive team.
    • This is a hands-on position. As a result, understanding of the work trenches, work flow and priorities are important, and being able to direct the team in daily activities and possibly stepping in at a moment’s notice may be required.

    • Participate in hiring including recruitment and evaluation of candidates.

    Promotions Manager - Rocklin, CA

    Our Promotion Managers (PMs) are responsible for promoting & positively representing K-LOVE and Air1 within their territory. Our PMs develop strong relationships & "presence" within their local communities to increase ministry visibility and brand recognition, resulting in increased listeners.

    A day in the life.......

    OK there's not a typical day in the life of a PM, however it could look something like...wake up and thank God for this day and the opportunities to change lives. You might need a cup of coffee for that, so go ahead, enjoy. Jump in your car and turn on K-LOVE or Air1! Now your ready to hit the ground running. Say "good morning" to your fellow co-workers, head straight to a strategy meeting with your team, then make calls, connect with community and church leaders or event directors to discuss partnerships. You might take a 10 minute break and pray for our listeners who have sent in prayer requests. Take time to coordinate and check details for your next event, write copy, use social media to announce a listener contest. Lunch time already? Go re-fuel, cause your going to need it for your afternoon promotion downtown. Jump in the K-LOVE car and meet your volunteers to spread the word and the music. Fast forward a few hours, wow, that was amazing! It's late, you're physically tired, but there's an energy buzzing inside of you from all those incredible listener stories! You know you're making an impact. Today was a blessed day and on your way home you can't wait to do it all over again tomorrow.

    So here's the nuts and bolts of what we are looking for...

    • Minimum of 1 year of experience in promotions, marketing, events, brand management within radio, media or the music industry.
    • Strong knowledge of radio promotional and marketing techniques

    • Understanding the Sacramento market is crucial, so candidates currently residing in the this area are greatly preferred.
    • More than 40 hours/week is the norm in promotions. And working evenings, weekends & holidays are a regular occurrence/schedule.
