Question: "Does God still heal today?" Max, CA
Answer: The Bible reveals and teaches that God’s desire for us as human beings is that they be healed of all that affects them. Ps. 103:2-3, "Praise the Lord, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits who forgives all your sins and heals all your diseases." It may be a physical disease or illness, whether it is emotional distress, whether it is spiritual sickness God desires to bring healing .Sometimes our healing occurs by natural processes of time and by the intervention of medical care which God has given them that gift. But the healing of the body and the mind can also happen through a miracle from God.  We also see in the New Testament that God gave the gift of healing in 1 Cor. 12 to the church. Regardless of how a healing takes place, the Bible makes it clear it is God’s plan to bring healing to us.
Question: "How can I recover and heal after I had an abortion?" -- Nancy, TX
Answer: The God of comfort and healing is more than able to bring healing from the pain of an abortion and can restore. This is comforting news for anyone that has had an abortion. When a woman realizes the guilt of having an abortion, she may find it difficult to forgive herself, but God offers forgiveness to anyone who asks for it. What has been done cannot be undone, but women can experience healing and recovery after an abortion. Romans 3:22 says, "We are made right in God's sight when we trust in Jesus Christ to take away our sins. And we all can be saved int his same way, no matter who we are or what we have done." God offers this forgiveness, and He also offers peace of mind, if we will only receive it by putting our faith in Christ Jesus.
Question: "Why does God allow sickness if he is a God of love?" -- Blake, FL
Answer: The question of why God allows sickness can be a difficult one, especially for those in the midst of suffering. We have to remember that God, in His love for us, always looks at the end result not just our present circumstances. Romans 8:28 tells us, "in ALL things God works for the good of those who love Him and have been called according to His purpose."   The Lord never wanted us to live with sickness but because we are fallen people living on a fallen earth, we have to deal with pain.  However, the good news is that through Christ we have the victory. According to scripture sickness and suffering can be an opportunity to exercise our faith, defeat the enemy and bring glory to God. The Lord can also use sickness to discipline us, teach us, and draw us or others closer to Him.
Question: "How do I truly forgive someone who has hurt me?" - Lauren from New York
    Answer:

"Forgive" is a financial term as well as a spiritual term, that simply means to cancel the debt. The person recognizes the debt as such and makes the internal personal decision to release the offender from his/her indebtedness.

Forgiveness is often misunderstood. It is significantly different and often confused with such things as ignoring the offense, trying to forget it and reconciliation of the relationship. The reality is, the impact from the offense will have to be considered for the past, present and the inevitable future. Choosing to forgive is a personal, conscious and powerful choice of the will and you may have to ask the Lord to help you to truly forgive. Choosing to release the offender from his or her indebtedness is to be like the Lord Himself (Matthew 6:12; Matthew 18:21-35).
