Story:
I was not raised as a Christian. I was raised in an atheist home. However, as long as I can remember I always believed in God. I cannot explain why because it certainly wasn't my circumstances that contributed to my faith. I believe maybe that was God's gift to me, the gift of faith. Since I was ten I would walk myself to a church not located far from where I lived. My entire family including my mother and my stepfather did not understand my beliefs and would criticize me and call me foolish for believing. Nonetheless I have continued my walk with God since then. My mother was cruel to me many times for my faith... however one day my mom sat me down when I was much older and told me with tears in her eyes that she was sorry. She said she was always jealous of my faith and considered me to be much stronger then her. I said to her with tears in my eyes and a smile that it was not my strength at all but God's that got me through. My life was not an easy one but I prayed for 10 years for my family and eventually my mom became a Christian. Since that time my uncle and my grandfather have asked me about God. I believe that what God did for me is a miracle.....and each year the blessing grows. I am forever grateful for His love!
