I am an alcoholic, and have bi-polar. I thought I was a lost cause at one time. I have been a christian since I was 7, now 36. I have struggled with addiction for about 18 years. This past year/year and a half, God has transformed my thinking. Music has always been important to me, heavy metal and rock were some of my favorites. I challenged my self this past January when I heard you guys talk about making that challenge for 30 days, I challenged myself and am still listening today without heavy metal, rock music, etc. There have been many, many times I have left your station on, even when I was depressed and didn't want to hear anything positive....but I kept listening. I'll tell you that the music I hear and the promises that are spoke of in the music have saved me from drinking and just giving up again. I ended up losing my daughter due to my alcoholism and still could not stop drinking. Soon after I started listening to your station, being involved in church, studying bible, reading devotions, volunteering, my life has begun to change. During this time without my daughter, I know I had to change my ways for myself, so I could be a mother, daughter, friend, etc. and today, November 14th I have been sober exactly one year. Thank you for sharing the promises of God's words. My new addiction has been transformed. Thank You!
Thanks for this great story
