Four months ago my 19 year old son was a homeless drug addict. He was one of those people you might see standing on the street corner with a cardboard sign saying '" Homeless and hungry. Please help." He was homeless and hungry, but not hungry for food. Hungry for his addiction to heroin. He could not come home as he had robbed nearly anything that wasn't attached to the floor.
Three months ago he entered treatment for the umpteenth time, but this time it is working. At least so far.
He has begun his journey as a disciple of Christ. He attends church and God is working miracles with him.I always have Klove on in the car. A couple of weeks ago he was in the car and singing along to a song. I got chills. Here is a young man that a few months ago I would have not been surprised to be woken up in the middle of the night to be told that someone had found him dead of a drug overdose, now he is singing along to Klove worship and praise songs in my car.
I took him to see is God's not Dead and at the end of the movie he texted everyone. His aunt called me hoping he was not relapsing. I assured her that no he has not relapsed, but now he loves God and His son Jesus Christ. As I write this he is sleeping comfortable here at home.
Thanks for this great story
