About Avalon

Avalon Worship

The signature four-part harmony of Avalon dominated Christian radio in the ’90s and into the early-2000s. Formed in 1995 with a starting lineup that included Janna Long, Jody McBrayer, Michael Passons and Nikki Hassman, the award-winning vocal group became synonymous with Christian pop and propelled a host of songs to the top of the charts, including “Give It Up,” “Adonai,” and “Can’t Live A Day,” among others. Their meteoric hit, “Testify to Love,” from their sophomore album, “A Maze of Grace,” catapulted Avalon into another stratosphere, earning the collective a series of accolades, high-profile media appearances and touring opportunities.

Despite numerous lineup changes through the years, the multi-GRAMMY® nominees have released more than a dozen projects, including a beloved holiday record, “Joy: A Christmas Collection,” in 2000. Avalon’s current lineup consists of Janna Long, Jody McBrayer, Greg Long and Dani Rocca. Having served as worship leaders at their respective churches for more than a decade, in recent years, the collective’s musical direction has evolved from the pristine pop of their early days to inspirational praise & worship with the group now recording and touring under the moniker Avalon Worship.
