While her previous gig with Watermark has ended, Christy Nockels continues to reach audiences at Passion Conferences through her latest song “Waiting Here For You.”
“To wait on someone really is a big statement,” reflected Christy on her blog. “Because essentially what you’re saying is, ‘Nothing else is more important in my life right now than to wait on you.’ That’s what I’m saying with my life right now. ‘Jesus…I’ll wait on You and I’ll move when You move...”
Christy Nockels and her husband Nathan first caught the attention of Pastor and founder of the Passion Conferences Louie Giglio with their first album Holy Roar in 1996. They were invited to the first Passion Conference in 1997 and later formed Watermark, under the record label Rocketown Records owned by Michael W. Smith. Watermark had 7 songs that were #1 radio singles, including “More Than You’ll Ever Know” and “All Things New.”
After producing 5 albums, Christy and Nathan ended their run as Watermark to focus on their family and leading worship. In addition to ministering to their three children, Noah, Elliana and Annie Rose, they have continued to be a part of the Passion Conferences and were a founding family of the Passion City Church in Atlanta, Georgia in 2008.
