Kari Jobe

Kari Jobe released her self-titled debut album back in February 2009 and captivated people immediately with her heart for worship. Her rendition of “Revelation Song” made her an instant favorite worldwide and helped her earn 2 Dove Awards. Being the daughter of a minister, Kari was surrounded by worship music for as long as she can remember, “I grew up in a Christian home, my family ministered a lot at local Churches,” she says. “I grew up in a ministry culture where people connected to God through music and through the Word.”

Besides being a powerful vocalist and songwriter, Kari Jobe is also a commanding worship leader at Gateway Church in Southlake, Texas. She started leading worship at the young age of 13, and hasn’t stopped ever since. “My heart for worship is my life, my passion, it’s what I love more than anything in the world,” says Kari. “And to me it’s not about music and it’s not about just writing songs, but it’s about connecting people to the heart of God and to the presence of God.”

Her new single “We Are” is exactly what you would expect from Kari, very organic and extremely heartfelt. The song is about letting your light shine for Christ and spreading the Gospel, something which we are all called to do. It is part of her latest album Where I Find You released in January 2012 with accomplished producer Ed Cash who has worked with fellow musicians Chris Tomlin, Steven Curtis Chapman and Dave Barnes, among others.
