What’s it like to be homeless? What’s it like to feel the cold Alaska wind in the middle of the night when you have no shelter but a cardboard box? K-LOVE joined Family Promise Mat-Su to help raise awareness of homelessness. The event took place the weekend of September 25th at the Alaska State Fairgrounds, where a cardboard city was created.
In order to become a resident of this cardboard city participants collected pledges of support, and showed solidarity with the homeless by spending the night in cardboard boxes.
All proceeds went to organizations that support the homeless and impoverished in the Matanuska- Susitna Valley of Alaska.
Help K-LOVE continue to help make a difference in your community.
