How To Help: Hurricane Irene Recovery

In the wake of the destruction of Hurricane Irene, 4 million people were left without power while dozens lost their lives. In addition to praying for those families affected by the storm, you can help out by joining with the following organizations providing relief to those in need:

• Convoy of Hope is providing cleaning supplies, flood buckets and paper supplies to those affected by the hurricane.

• Samaritan's Purse is mobilizing volunteers to help with the clean up efforts in some of the hardest hit areas, including regions close to their headquarters in North Carolina.

• The Salvation Army served 19,000 in eastern North Carolina immediately following the storm and is providing food and beverages to 2,500 people a day to those affected in New Hampshire, Vermont and Maine.
