After completing his bachelor's degree in business administration at California State University, Northridge and while working on his master's Dean Stordahl began what would become more than four decades of service to America's Veterans when he accecpted a position with the national Department of Veterans Affairs. At the age of thirty, Dean received a promotion to the Chief Operating Officer at a VA medical center and six years later he became the Chief Executive Officer.
Dean's areas of expertise include: budgeting, strategic planning, accomplishing goals and leadership. Over the years, he's served on, and chaired, public committees and non-profit boards. Before retiring in 2008, Dean received recognition from national Veterans Service Organizations, the highest levels of the VA and, on two separate occasions, he received Meritorious Executive Awards signed by presidents of the United States.
Dean and his wife, Denise, have four adult children and seven grandchildren. They enjoy camping, boating, and traveling. Dean also spends time golfing, woodworking, and skiing.
Dean has a heart for God and is enthusiastic about serving on EMF's Board of Directors.
