It's no secret that this week has been a devastating week for our country. Every time we turn around, we hear of people hurting and cities crumbling. When there is fear and tragedy all around us, it's important to remember God's promise of hope. We've been posting scriptures throughout the week to bring encouragement to your day. Here are some of the scriptures - we hope they offer a small bit of hope in your fear.
May Your unfailing love be my comfort, according to Your promise to Your servant. -Psalm 119:76
He leads me beside still, peaceful waters.- Ps. 23:2b
So we do not lose heart, we don’t look at the troubles we can see now; rather, we fix our gaze on things that cannot be seen. For the things we see now will soon be gone, but the things we cannot see will last forever. -2 Corinthians 4:16-18
God is good, a hiding place in tough times. He recognizes and welcomes anyone looking for help, No matter how desperate the trouble. -Nahum 1:7
Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer. -Romans 12:12
