Give Me Your Eyes

"Give me Your eyes for just one second

Give me Your eyes so I can see

Everything that I keep missing

Give me Your love for humanity

Give me Your arms for the broken hearted

The ones that are far beyond my reach?

Give me Your heart for the one's forgotten

Give me Your eyes so I can see"

- Brandon HeathGive Me Your Eyes” (iTunes|Amazon)

It’s a great song, that’s really a prayer from Brandon Heath, a plea asking God to help you make a difference.

But how?  You probably see the hurting, you hear about the needs, but you wonder where you will find the time and money to reach the broken hearted and forgotten.

Reminds me of the story in the bible:

"Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues and proclaiming the good news of the kingdom and curing all kinds of disease and every weakness and infirmity. When He saw the throngs, He was moved with pity and sympathy for them, because they were bewildered (harassed and distressed and dejected and helpless), like sheep without a shepherd.  Then He said to His disciples, The harvest is indeed plentiful, but the laborers are few.” -Matthew 9:35-38 (AMP)

If your heart goes out to the masses too, join us reaching the masses with positive encouraging radio that reaches millions!

If you're already a laborer with us and support K-LOVE to encourage the masses, THANK YOU!  If you'd like to labor along with us, this is a great time.  Your gift can make an even bigger impact.  With every $40/month EZ pledge, you can also provide a warm winter coat to a child in need.

That way, every day even in the midst of your busy schedule you will know you are encouraging the masses, and a child is warm at the bus stop.

The Next Big Thing

If you're always looking for that next big thing to make you happy, it's nothing new. It started with Eve.

It hit me yesterday at church when my pastor said something about her.  How God told her not to eat the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge, but she chose to listen to her own voice instead. Her own desires instead of what God declared what was good for her.  She thought maybe she knew better on what was best for her.

Maybe you can relate to that, and maybe you are always striving towards that next big thing to make you content.

Thinking...if I could be a size 4, if I could get the kids in the right school, if I could just get that house on the corner, meet the "Right" person for me, If I could just retire...then I would be happy. What ever your desire is that you think woud fulfill you.

If I had _________ then I would be happy.

It's all tempting, it's our desire and it's bad fruit.

It makes me want to say, "NO Eve NO!" I don't know about you, but I've grabbed a lot of bad fruit and learned the hard way that the only thing that will ever quench my thirst that I have for contentment is a relationship with God.  You can have that now, to the full. You don't need to achieve your desires first, or be full.  Come as you are.

"The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows)." John 10:10 (Amplified)
