NO ONE IS SAFE!

No one I meet is safe from being blessed, no matter what the state of their life is! Graham Cooke, recently encouraged us to get overwhelmed by the love of God. Some of us, even as Christians, wander thru life as if a prisoner in a cell - struggling with the sins of the past, thinking God couldn't love someone like me. But God has wiped away our sins, like an eraser on a chalkboard. He remembers them no more. We, you and I, have the key to unlock their cell. They could escape from their incarceration and discover the plans a loving God has for them! My business, your business, is revealing the heart of God, using words if we have to,  And it all starts with a simple "God bless you" blessing. No one is safe from being blessed!

Gods love knows no bounds!

I've been reminded of this truth time and time again in the last year! Yesterday when I got this letter in the mail was one of those times. Honestly, at first I was trying to figure out why on earth this sweet 15 year old girl was thanking me for gifts. I didn't send her anything and I didn't know anybody in Malaysia but this girl knew my name and seemed impressed with my gift giving abilities noting  "I actually like some of the gifts you packed so much". As I continued reading it dawned on me, Phoebe received one of the shoeboxes I packed with Operation Christmas Child!!! I learned that we shared a favorite color (pink of course) and she is 15 years old. She is the only child in her family and she is hearing impaired. She loves Japanese food and drawing manga. She asked me to find her on Facebook so that we can 'know each other better because its nice and pleasant to come to know you. I can't wait to hear from you in your home in America." (I'm still searching for her on Facebook!)

I am amazed, even humbled, by how quickly I feel bonded to my new friend. It makes me think about some other precious girls I got to meet through Operation Christmas Child when Larry and I got to hand deliver shoeboxes in Peru. Friends from opposite sides of the globe united by a loving Father who knows no geographical boundaries. Our circumstances may be different but our God is the same!!

If you've ever been part of the shoebox packing process...thank you for donating your time to bring a smile and the love of Christ to a child somewhere on the planet.
