Chris August is one of my favorite singers, and his new song Seven times seventy I relate to. When he said bad things can turn into good things is deffinatly true for me. When my ex had died in a car accident is when I found God. It was a bad thing turning my life around.

Chris, I've been listening to klove for about six months now. And I love your song Starry night! My Mom doesn't like listening to klove as much. She likes "non-rocky" songs as she puts it. But your song came on in the car and inside I was saying "YES! Mom will love at least this one!" I was right she wanted to know who the artist was ect.. Keep up the awesome music and following Jesus. God bless Laughing

Last night I had made a decision to do something silly that would forever change my life. I woke up this morning at 5am anxious for it. Oddly I was listening to Klove, with the decision I had made it didn't really fit into the equation but nonetheless I left it on. Some songs came on that laid heavy on my heart. Even though I wanted to turn it off, I couldn't. I listened to you, Chris, talk about the time you rededicated your life to God. One of the things you said really resonated with me, I just couldn't shake it off.

Anyway, some more music was played and every time I felt myself seeping back into what would be a day of self destruction, a song would come on that would convict my spirit just a bit more.

2 1/2 hours later, I've decided not to do what I had intended to. I realize it would be something I would live to regret, and while God's forgiveness is infinite, I'm glad He had grace for me this morning to just turn my heart away from a bad decision.

Blessing on you guys.

WOW! I had to pull the car over while listening to the song "Seven Times Seventy" & re-apply my makeup before heading on into work. This is a song that God will surley use in very big ways to heal people-no doubt. It struck a cord in more ways than one- first, being a woman who has had to not only forgive, but has had to be forgiven from being in an abusive realtionship for 18 years and for allowing my children to be raised in an environment of abusive conflict. My parents are mirrors of a forgiving spirit & I learned from them how imprtant forgiveness is. I can say first hand that forgiveness & love IS God's amazing glue that puts back together lives & souls that have been torn. God also immediatly used this song to help me come to terms with a book that I am writing about a 35 year old murder case that still carries strong emotions and pain for so many in my community. I had started the project as an attempt to help resolve the truth in a very complicated crime web. But, I see clearly through God's speaking within this song, that the story isn't a real life "who don'it" murder mystery. It is about GOD's healing through forgiveness. God wants me to make that clear in this story & I pray that I can do it the way that he wants me to. Thank you, Chris, for being so open to God's direction in your calling, & Thank you KLOVE for working to make sure God spreads like wildfire through the airways!

After hearing your songs on KLove and feeling such a connection to each and one of them (including Candy) I'm a crazed fan...I've probably amplified your "google number"- we'll just put it that way.
It was great hearing you co-host this morning, also have to admit that I'm not to sad to hear your single ...not that I would even be able to speak in your company but still not bad to enterain the thought.
Next time you're in Indiana you should check out Bible Center Cathedral in Evansville!  Don't stop blessing us with your testimony through music, In Gods Love.~Honore'

HaHa...You guys just talked to someone from West Virginia who is now an ordained pastor and you asked him if he does weddings. I live in West Virginia! I am a single mom of 3 and wanted to say that Chris August's music speaks to me so deeply. The past year of my life has been filled with so many changes and adjustments for me and my children. Starry Night has been our theme song as we head to church, soccer practices, etc. Thank you! The song I heard you sing earlier about forgiveness spoke to me on a whole new level, though...Smile

Someday there will be a "future wife"... a person who is imperfect forever... just like you!  And the goal is not just to make US happy, but to get us to make someone ELSE happy!  And make the two of YOU (husband and wife) more like HIM!  Like yall said, definitely not always 50/50... But God’s design is perfect, He knows what He is DOING!  The world brings us down, so you will bring joy to each other, each day by finding new ways to be best friends Smile
I pray that you will be open to God putting hope in your life... trust that "life is good, love is powerful, and the future is full of promise that only God knows!"

The subtlety of God is staggering, and my story of it spans over 13 years. I had tried to make a sincere profession of disbelief; I didn't want to believe in the Jesus Myth. Over this past summer, there were several times I'd found myself in the car of my sister-in-heart (who I'd met 13 years ago), and she had K-Love playing. During this same time, I'd begun getting up at 3:50am to go to the gym, and while walking out to my car, I'd look up at the sky, marveling at the stars and moon (No matter what you profess to believe, it's tough NOT to be amazed by the majesty of a night sky, if you take the time to look at it). One morning, on a whim, I turned on K-Love. "Starry Night" was playing, and I felt an enormous pressure in my chest, a physical impact of an overwhelming emotional response to the lyrics of this song. I had led myself astray, and "Starry Night" was one song that helped me see what I needed to do. I am grateful that God has bless Chris August with his gift of song, and that he has shared it with the world.

Thank you for brightening up my morning, You are an amazing guy, and I would love to get to know you better. I feel like we are kindered spirits just waiting to meet. I am too single, and if you are willing, we can talk and see where things could go. Maybe something will come for us, but it doesn't hurt to see. God has been a blessing in my life, for more than two decades, and he has brought me so much these past few years, with all the struggles I have had to overcome, but I have overcame them, with his help. Your songs also help me too, they bring a smile to my face. God Bless you Chris, and I hope to see you face to face very soon.

Just had to say I'm a 28 yr old, single mom of three and I've walked through a lot in my short life. The first time I heard starry night I was in the car with my three kids and my 7 yr old son (who's also a CHRIStian) fell in love with that song just as much as I did. He immediately asked me if I'd buy that song for him which blesses me tremendously. To hear him singing Christian music with all that he has been through is music to my ears. He cries all the time not understanding why his dad doesn't want to be a part of his life and I'm constantly reassuring him that the greatest father he will ever have is God. Thank you for helping me bring my children closer to God everyday with your music. You bless us all!! Thank you!

Chris, you are a very handsome and talented guy and your Mrs. August is out there.  I have been looking for my Mr. for a very long time and I can confirm that being single is not an easy life, but remember, God is preparing a wonderful wife to bless you with and He will reveal her to you in His time.  So be patient and keep doing what He called you to do.  You are a blessing to those whos lives your talents have touched.  Keep them coming because we're all listening.

I was listening the morning that you were on K Love and I feel really silly for writing this but will drive myself crazy if I don't.  God has been tugging at my heart to respond since that day and I guess I have just been trying to come up with the nerve to do so.  I am a single mother of two beautiful gifts from God who has been praying for a christian man and for some crazy reason have felt the need to post since that day.  I love your music and your song "Starry Night" has blessed me in so many ways.  Needless to say I would love the opportunity to get to know you.  Keep doing what you are doing because you are changing lives and are truly a gift from God.

I just wanted to know how I can hear Chris August's song about candy again. LOL, that song is absolutely hilarious!!! Me and my family listen to K-Love all day, everyday, and when me and my 8 yr old son heard that while I was taking him to school, we were laughing sooo hard!! My child cannot stop singing it and is begging me to find out how he can hear it again. I thought they said I could get on here and find it but I can't. Can anyone help?

I have deliberated for some time now whether or not to leave a comment.  I am a single mom in Texas, and I have 2 kids.  I am sad to say that I was not able to listen to the entire broadcast on the morning that Chris was there.  I am a full time college student and had to be in class for part of the time that Chris was in the studio.
My kids and I have been through a lot, but God brought us through it.  Since then, friends tell me that God has the perfect mate for me that he created just for me.  I believe that.  And Chris should as well.  I know first hand what it is like to be in a union that was not from God.  You know everyday that it is not right, and no matter what you, as a Christian, do you cannot defy Him.  I am learning patience, and with God's grace and love I know that my husband will find me. I know that being single is NOT easy, and some days you feel like there will never be that "someone" to love you and make your life complete.  Chris, God has your wife waiting for you, waiting for the perfect time in your life.  You will find her, or she find you, and you will know with all of your being that God sent her to you in a Divine match.
Good luck! You are very talented and you also have a gift.  God has already touched so many lives through your music...and he is not finished yet. I am thankful for my many blessings, and I am thankful for your music.
