My parents had me convinced until I was 9 that Pizza Hut would take the extra pizza crust people left and make them into bread sticks.   My mom asked " Why did you eat it then?"  All I could reply was "Well everyone else was eating it so I figured it was ok!"

My daughter loved Barney when she was very young and whenever the "I Love You" song came on I would give her a big kiss at the point in the song when it was called for. As she grew older  (10 - 14) I would sing that song and she would run laughing from me because she knew she was about to get a big sloppy kiss. She passed away fro a brain tumor at 14 and I still can see us laughing with love with that song.

When my son was little and it was time to wake him up for school I would start with a tickle on his ear and say, "Tickly, tickly on the nose if you laugh you'll smell like a rose."  then to his ear, "Tickly, tickly on your ear if you laugh there's another tickle near."  Then his knee, "Tickly, tikly on the knee, if you laugh you don't love me."  I would go through his chin, hair, etc. until he was awake & laughing.  It made it a fun way to wake up and good memories for me  -- I hope for him also.  I'll have to ask

I pretend I'm Santa Clause(by using his voice and manerisms)when my son has something bothering him, for some reason he seem quick to open up more about what it is...maybe because it makes him feel like it's someone else...he's 11 yrs. old.

After washing a chicken and prior to placing it in the roasting pan, I hold it up by its wings and make it walk across the counter with each leg taking one step at a time. I sing in a deep voice as if it were singing and it has made my girls laugh since they were little. They are now 16 and 19 and still laugh. Maybe they are laughing a little at me because they now shake their heads too Smile

My father was a Pastor as I was growing up. He would make up songs and sing them anywhere and everywhere. Most them were totally hiliarious, but his greatest gift was when he would just stop and make the long face from the Luarel and Hardy. He looked just like him.

I sing really bad... well not really but when I want to make them laugh I sing really bad in pitch as well as singing the wrong words to songs.  I also will interpret what someone says wrong... as in, if someone says " hey are we havin' chicken for dinner" I'll turn to someone else in the house and say "did he/she just ask if we have a chicken ford ear?  ... cause that doesn't make any sense".  O.K, O.K I guess I do really just sing bad too.

We live in base housing and the floors are industial tile that are super slick.  My boys are 7 and 3. They put on long sleeves and long pants and curl up in a ball on floor. My husband spins them by holding them behind the knees.  He spins them until they cant stay in a ball then they try to get up and walk.  They will keep asking him to do it over and over they love it!

When I was a kid, my dad used to hold us down and blow on our stomach, making a raspberry noise. We would laugh and squeal. Now that he has gone on to his glory, I have been able to pass that on to my nieces and nephews when they were toddlers. His legacy is still going on. Smile

The best way to make my kids laugh is to engage them in this little dialogue.
Using their name I say "___, I love you. If you love me won't you give me a smile?"
and, while maintaining a straight face, they have to say "mom, you know I love you, but I just can't smile" .

Without fail, they, and I, crack up laughing.  Then it becomes a game to make faces while the other person is trying to maintain a straight face. And we trade off the dialogue.  they will say "mom if you love me won't you give me a smile' and I say "honey you know I love you but I just can't smile".  Ofcourse I can never complete the sentence without laughing.

My Dad would pretend to be my butler. He would talk in an English acsent and do things for me. I would always bust up laughing and tell him to stop in that tone of voice that says to keep going. With my older brother he would take his stuffed Pooh, hide under his shirt at bed time and come in saying "PY, I can't find Pooh anywhere."

After I had lathered up to shave my kids would peek in and make eeewww shoulds about how I looked and I would say "I think you need a better closer look so let me give you a kiss." and the chase would be on.  Usually ending with squealing, laughing and a cry "please stop I have to go to the bathroom".  Maybe a little messy but easy to clean up and I thouroughly enjoyed it.

I have 3 children; a 5 yr. old, 3yr old and a 1 yr old. When my 5 yr old was around 9 months or so, she would bust out laughing everytime I hopped around the house like a FROG!!! LOL!! My 3 yr old would always laugh at me when I danced silly. But my 1 yr old loves it when Mommy and him play tackle. I will say, "DOWN SET HUT, HUT!" and then go and tackle him (gently). He bust out in belly laughs everytime!! I do believe he will be my football player. =D Also, when we are all in public (like Wal-Mart) Mommy will sometimes start singing  or humming a tune and start dancing and the kids think that is hilarious. And no I am not a crazy person=D We just like to have fun!!

To make my 6 and 13 year olds laugh these days I show them and their friends how I can do "the jerk", which I am actually very bad at...my 13 year old starts to protest when I say "oh, I can do that, watch" but she laughs and I know she actually likes it : )

I'm not the funny one of my family...but my husband is!  At dinnertime, he frequently assumes a character that he created named Hans, the Footslapper.  He created Hans to encourage our kids to eat their meal.  Hans will command, in a hilarious German accent, "I am Hanz, ze Footslappah!  You must eat your dinnah...or I will slap your feet!"  It never works because it just sends all of us into fits of giggles!  I thank God for my husband and his creative style of parenting.  He brings such joy into our household!

My dad makes me laugh because we are working on a puzzle that's 2000 pieces so we've been going at it for a while. He uses words like hee haw for a certain piece that's missing. I've been listening to that for a whole week, now. Oh, and he also has this little tickle thing that he does while we're both watching TV togteher : he says. "here comes the zuzbug!!!!!!" Ok, i know i'm 12 now, but he's my dad and he sometimes just has to make a scene at home or while picking me up at school. My mom isn't that all out though. She just says random things at random times and I'M random, ( supposedly like all teenagers ) so that makes me laugh too. Smile

Yeah, this is mostly about my dad, but he says that my brother ( in law ) looks EXACTLY like Johnny Depp. He drew a picture of Johnny Depp (when not in costume like in Pirates of the Carribbean) and it DID look like my brother in law. Smile He also looks like Tony Hawk, ( according to him and his high school buddies ) and I'm not really sure how the whole Tony Hawk/Johnny Depp deal works out in the same person.... and my dad has to look at the new YouTube updates ( the ok ones ) and he found one that i really like, so now he has started talking british/english like the guy from the video. I laugh because I usually try it after him, and let me tell you, i am NOT a good impersonator. Then he tries to make me laugh because THEN he starts whining like a little 4-5 year old and he does it in the voice of the charlie in the box off of Rudolph. I try it again, and im better at that impersonation, but not by much. So then he just says "UGH. IM A CHARLIE IN THE BOX!!!!" in his charlie in the box voice. again, i'm 12, but it's still really funny. Smile Tong

One day my 11 yr old (who was 10 at the time) laughed at something I said. This was no ordinary laugh, it was overkill kind of laugh. I turn back at her laughing and mocked her laugh a little more over the top. I had all three of my girls cracking up. Now when either of my girls are having a bad day I take time out and laugh loud and crazy. Smile

When I was a kid, my dad told me the red balls on the powerlines were full of hot air heated by the wires. He said the balls were like balloons and helped to hold up the wires.Years later my kids bought into it just like I did.

Right now, the "helpful monster" is getting a good laugh out of my kids.  I'll "help" them do whatever they're doing by doing the least helpful things I can (like, say, putting their tiny pajamas on my head while they're getting ready for bed), while I say "helping" in a "monster" voice.  My two and four year old just can't help giggling while they tell me, "That's not helping!"

We make up new words to songs the kids like.  The new word relate to whatever we are doing at the time.  We also sing "The Quartermaster Store" when we are travelling.  It is so funny to hear my 7 year old's creative mind in making up new rhymes.

With my 3 year old son it is peek-a-boo.  But this weekend he was tired and didn't want to go to sleep (and was throwing a mall parking lot episode - luckily at home...lol).  So we started watching videos online.  This video made him laugh so hard that he finally fell asleep (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAgPFuYEWZw).  Every time the fox would dive into the dirt I'd say "boink" and he would start giggling.

When I need a laugh the Brit's do a pretty good job (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kOwLr3UhaUo).  The looks on these peoples faces was so classic (something's wrong with that dog).

OK, here is my story.  My sister's brother-in-law passed away and it was the first death for her 5 year old twns.  While at the funeral home for the viewing, my niece asked my sister what "dead" was.  Her mom said it was like being asleep.  The other twin looked at her mom and said"No mom, when your sleeping your breathing.  If you're not, you're dead".  It was so cute and we all had a smile.

Sometimes, if I'm in a bad mood, my mom and older sister will pick me up by my arms and legs and swing me from side to side, which makes me giggle a little. Then, they'll hold me down and tickle my feet. My feet are really, really ticklish, so I have no choice but to laugh. I'm 15, but who cares? Getting tickled is fun. Bye everyone Smile
