This weekend the Sacramento Rivercats (AAA minor league baseball) are playing in Fresno against the Grizzlies. The Griz scored a run in the bottom of the eight inning on Thursday night to squeak by 5-4. We'll try to head out to the ballpark to watch some of this Highway 99 rivalry this weekend. "Go Grizzlies!!"

Remember, baseball is biblical [Genesis 1:1, "In the big inning...."]

I am getting married on Saturday.  Terri and I have both been through alot of rough emotional times in our history.  Both of have been single for about 10 years.  Her a single mom for all of that time.  Through Christ we are both broken hearts made new.  That is why in place of the wedding march, we are using "What Faith Can Do" by Kuttlas.  After the wedding and after the reception, we are attenting our worship service because the first thing we want to do as a couple is worship Christ, our Savior.  I love Terri with all of my heart, and will dedicate the rest of my life loving her with all of my heart.

I'm remembering my brother this weekend. It'll be a year on Sunday, May 2nd, since I last saw him alive. He developed a terminal fever from melanoma the day before, so the visit was a bit one-sided and bittersweet. He was gone before dawn on May 3rd. We also lost my stepfather to cancer May 1st and my mother-in-law to old age on May 7th last year. I'm still mourning my family's losses, but I'm rejoicing in the fact that they're not hurting anymore.

This weekend I am celebrating my Mom Janice Poore, together with family and friends.  On Saturday, my Mom turns 60 years old and that in and of itself is a super accomplishment that I am so happy about.  But this year, also marks my Mom's 10 year anniversary of being cancer free.  She was diagnosed with breast cancer in 2000 and underwent surgery in May of that year.  After a long painful year of surgeries and chemotherapy, she beat it.  Through it all though, she was the essence of grace as she put all her faith in God and never complained about anything at all.  My Mom is the true picture of a survivor and I am so happy that I still have her in my life.  I love you Mom and am overjoyed to be celebrating you tomorrow and every day!

Today would have been my sisters 22nd birthday, she passed away in 2004. So as a family we celebrate her life, rather than morn her death, by going and buying perrenials and planting them so they bloom every spring for her birthday. We also go eat at her favorite restaraunt and enjoy time as a family together, laughing about little things that she ... See Moreused to do. If you could play 'Save A Place For Me' as it reminds me that I will someday see her again and she is saving a place for me up there. Thanks for your support through music and prayer.

I'm getting married tomorrow so it will be my anniversary too in the years to come.  A few years ago I was in a rocky place - my marriage had ended after 26 years, my job was being eliminated and I had to move, and my youngest son was struggling with high school.  I prayed for God to help me find a way, to grow my faith, to give me a place to serve and someone to love.  Sounds like a tall order, but God answered all of those prayers beyond my dreams.  I'm now an elder in a church I used to go to, and I've marrying a wonderful Christian man who shares my values and beliefs.  God is truly great and loves us more than we can ever fathom!  I know that if you pray for God's will, he will answer those prayers.  KLOVE has been a big part of my faith growing, and I have to thank my fiance for introducing me to it.

I'm getting ready to spend the weekend with family. I really wanted to tell you that *every* time I listen to KLOVE, God uses it to speak to my heart. I've been on a journey of healing from an abusive past. Each day God brings more healing to my heart and soul. I was just doing some housework and the songs brought me to tears, right in the midst of making the bed. God *is* using you. Thank you for sharing His love to hurting hearts that carry burdens known only to God.

OK I accidentally hit the enter button so didn't get to finish my prior post.  I do hope to get the deck done this weekend so I can forget about it forever and get on with other things I want to get done inside my house.  So you guys have a great weekend and God bless you.  I just absolute "LOVE" KLove.  It is a real blessing to me especially since my darling hubby went home to be with the Lord unexpectedly about a year and a half ago.  I love the song, grrr I forget the name of it now but it is by Matthew West and talks about I'll see you soon and save a place for me.  That song so touches my heart every time I hear it.  Also another song that is a blessing to me is By Your Side.  So, anyway, I'm done rambling now.  OK so I'm not.  LOL  Congratulations on your 17th Anniversary Scott.  Hubby and I would have been married 40 years this month on the 25th.  OK now I'm done. I am surprizing my daughter in law with her first bow, for shooting archery with.  She has known something was up, because I have been kind of taunting her that something special was coming.  I had been trying to get this done prior to her birthday, but things got set back a bit.  Well the bow finally came in on Thursday.  I got it all sighted in, and arrows fletched with a matching color to the bow.  Her grand parents and some other friends will be at our local archery shop when my son brings her by.  She thinks she is just going to try a shop bow... but I'm going to totally surprize her with her very own 2008 BowTech Guardian bow.

We, my wife and I, are making plans to celebrate my being diagnosed with terminal cancer. On Wednesday, May 5th, it will be four years since I was diagnosed with cancer and told then I only had 9 to 18 months to live. Well, due to God's response to the many people who have prayed for me, He has blessed me with 48 months to share my faith with people. When I was first diagnosed my co-workers watched me closely; non believers to see IF God would help me, believers to see HOW God would help me. Thanks and praise to Him who has made the world and the universe.

I am writing to you on the subject you had last week about biggest suprises.  Well, my husband suprised me with a dream trip for our 25th anniversary.  We were at his brothers home in Illinois with his family, opening presents when my husband gave me this box, opened it and it was a pizza boxs, thought this is strange, then opened it and out came this huge hand made scrapbook card that described our whole trip.  It was a private charter boat 10 day trip to Alaska.  I just started to cry.  Not only is this the trip we had both dreamed of but the scrap book card was beautifully made by my sister in law who was living with cancer.  4 experimental treatments and 4 years later and she went from a 94% chance of not making it to almost cancer free.  We had her on prayers lists, constantly supported them thru the years from afar, we live in AZ, God heard us and healed her.  So when I look at the pictures and the card she made it just reminds me that God is great and that he can work miracles.  Thank You
