I would like to make a difference for you this Monday. A few weeks ago, you (or maybe the morning crew) suggested that you needed a theme song for Make a Difference Monday. You said maybe you could get Brandon Heath to write you one. I am not Brandon Heath, although I think I am not behind him as a song writer or singer. I have, however, written a song, "Make a Difference Monday." You can hear it at or see the words at

If you like it and want to talk about it, I can be reached at or 505-918-2109. My gift to K-LOVE for this year.

Hey there! I'm an Aussie visiting family in Southern California. When I was here three years ago, I sensed God calling me to share my story and make a difference for His Kingdom and bring glory to Him.

Please find copied below a link to my testimony which I first shared on March 16 2008 at Diamond Valley Baptist Church in Melbourne, Australia.

It's my prayer that God would use my story to make a difference in someone's life on this last Monday of 2010.

Happy New Year and Best Wishes!!

As I am writing this it isn't really make a difference monday, but I don't think it really matters what day that you really make a difference in somebodies life.  Which is the cool part about it.

Today I went into pay my water/garbage/sewer bill at City Hall.  I live in a very small town in Iowa, so everybody pretty much knows everybody.  I hade asked the gal how her christmas was and she asked the same to me.  I told her that it was the most amazing and awesome Christmas that I have had in a long time.  My son's mom and I have been seperated for 3 years.  I had told her that my son and his mom came for Christmas Eve service at my church and then came over to where I was staying and while she was wrapping presents I was able to spend an hour together with my son swimming.  A total of 5 hours is what I was able to spend with my son.

While I was telling the clerk my smile was ever present.  I knew that the Lord was telling me to bring up my faith to her and to share a little bit of why the smile was on my face.  I had told her that I knew the outcome of my battle would be.  And it would be victorious because of my faith in Jesus Christ. James 1:2-3 states that I count it all JOY the trials and tribulations that I endure because it produces perseverance.

Because of the peace and freedom that only Christ can give me is the reason of my smile.  At the end of our conversation she said thank you to me.  She said you made my day because of your smile that I had.  As I walked out I knew that I had made a little bit of difference in her day, by just smiling.

Our God is an awesome God.

I just want to say thanks to K-LOVE! I'm 15 years old and I have been completely changed thanks to K-LOVE. When I was in 6th grade my parents got divorced, and I felt like I was alone in this world and still do at times. I also became addicted to some bad things and fell very short of trusting in God that year. This year I realized how much of an issue all of this really was and I was told about K-LOVE and started listening to it. Between listening to the encouragement of K-LOVE, and by listening to what God has told me through others, it has surely made a difference in my life. I would just like to thank K-LOVE and those who have helped me these past through years to start to get over the addiction and get back on the right track and following God more with my heart. K-LOVE has certainly made a difference in my life, and  wish I cold help support it, but being tat I'm only 15 with no job yet I can't but I would also like to thank those that support it so I can listen. So thanks once more! God is good all the time!! Smile

I like to think that I make a difference in my daughter's life by having daily conversations with them to find out them, how they feel about something, what they want in life, etc.  I am also attending nursing school (Grad May 2011) to be able to make a difference in people's life at their worse moments in life........

My mom and I have a neibhor who is sick with cancer. She had been like this for a really long time. So I came up with the idea to bake her some cookies, I shared this with my mom and I could tell for a couple days she was thinking about it. So one day when I returned from school she told me that she gave the cookies to our neibhor and told me of the condition she was in. My heart nearly broke, she had to be fed by a tube. So my mom and I kept her up in prayer and a few days later she was better. I hope this counts a making a difference in such a small way.

I just wanted to give you my WOW God story for 2010. My brother in law was diagnosed with stage 4 squamous cell carcinoma and was told that they did not think he would make it through the treatments. Well thanks to God he is 100% healed and we give all the glory to God. He was unable to work during this time so our family along with other wonderful people in their community, came together and had rummage sales and other things to keep the family afloat. God brought in funds from people we did not even know. We give all the glory to God for everything in this healing.

my ex boyfriend has made a huge life changing difference not only in my life but the lives of my two children. from the beginning,he shared his love for God openly as well as his love for KLOVE. So in turn ive given my life to God and have decided to change my life by having the will to end my problem with drugs and to take hold of my life n get back on my feet. today i'm drug free, pursuing my dream to join the military, and starting over in a new town away from all the temptation that consumed my life recently. because of his love for me and my children,he cared enough to help us find God! I an renewed and remade and i will never turn back! I have god in my heart forever...

Our family has had a Meals on Wheels route for 3 years now. As home educators, we are able to work the kids' school day around our route on Tuesday... They wouldn't miss a day--I've delivered in storms, when I was running a temp (had to stay in the van) as this means so much to us. Our children are 9-15 years of age and Meals on Wheels has made a big impact on them. We've seen some of our folks pass on, and become friends with some too--one of our friends, Mr. Yoder (almost 92) has come to our house for Easter and Christmas Eve on more than one holiday.  Our kids have got so much more out of Meals on Wheels which is more than a hot noon meal, it's the gift of time and of friendship. We make cards on all the holidays and oftentimes they're displayed year-round. Such a blessing....

Hi, I wanted to comment on the Michael v. Thing. I really believe he deserves a second chance as god has given all of us.  Although what makes me sad is this guy fought and killed dogs and all of america is concerned on wether or not to cheer for him, this same country kills almos t a billion human babbies a year with no remorse and we are worried over someone who kills dogs. Does this sound crazy to anyone else but me?

RE: Michael Vick Comments

On Friday, January Saturday, January 08, 2011 I was listening to the KLOVE show with either Eric or Scott as the DJ - not sure which one it was. and Lisa as the dee-jays. I was very deeply offended by some woman who called in (I will remain kind and not call her the first word which comes to mind – which is “ignorant”) who said that we should all “get over” what Michael Vick did to his dogs, and that he has paid his penalty to society, apologized, etc.

First of all – if Michael Vick had paid his TRUE penalty – he would have been given life in prison or executed for murder. I find what he did to be extremely cruel and offensive on par with what Ted Bundy did. While I agree that Christ died for his sins and he can be born again, if he so desires, I do not believe that “forgiveness” means I have to overlook his reprehensible and psychotic cruelty and “get over it” and become his advocate or fan for life. People still have to face repercussions for what they have done in life. Secondly, any remorse he has supposedly displayed was in my opinion only designed to get him back into the good graces of the NFL.

He should NEVER have been allowed back into the NFL, because he is a horrible example for young people. If he ever becomes a born again, on fire for God, spirit filled believer then I will re-evaluate his life – but until then – I reserve the right not to “get over it”. I venture to say that that woman was probably a rabid NFL fan, who are the only people I’ve observed who say we should “get over it”, or either people who think dogs have no right to life or feelings in God’s creation and killing them for sport is okay, because “they are just dogs”. I venture to say that they wouldn’t feel the same if it were their own children who were being maimed and tortured, and dogs are like children and family to a lot of people, including me.

My understanding of forgiveness is that it means we are to put retribution in God’s hands, it in no way means that I have to violate my morals and standards to become someone’s best friend and number one fan if they are not the type of person that I want to be associated with.

Personally, I find the mere mention of Michael Vick’s name to be offensive, and nothing he has done has demonstrated to me at all that he has “reformed” in the least.

I find it very offensive that the dee-jays on KLOVE even discussed this issue, and because the male DJ wagged his head and agreed along, I really have no interest in even listening to KLOVE any longer at this point. I would urge your DJs to stick to spiritual topics rather than bringing up the name of a man who as despicable as Hitler and Pol Pot as far as I’m concerned. If you REALLY read about how he murdered and tortured those poor creatures of God, who had no choice of their own in the matter, then I would question anyone’s sanity who says that we as Christians need to “get over” the gravity of his psychotic and sociopathic acts. Well after all, I guess they are just dogs, and pitbulls at that! Maybe those dogs really deserved to be electrocuted in a swimming pool and slammed against the edge of the pool and beaten to death, and mating females deserved to have all their teeth pulled out. Yeah, that’s just real easy to “get over”. Sorry, but I don’t believe “forgiveness” means I have to abdicate all my moral standards.

Personally, I will never allow an NFL game to even be televised in my house, ever. It totally disgusts me that the almighty god of football is worshipped in this country to the point that a man as vile as Vick is allowed the privilege of making millions and being revered on television. Michael Vick is totally revolting to me, and it’s not likely my opinion of him is going to change unless he becomes the next Billy Graham. That he is even back in the NFL just shows how sick our society really is.

I will not believe that true justice has been done in the Michael Vick case until he is kicked out of the NFL for LIFE and he serves at least 10 to 20 years in prison – maybe only then I will feel that justice has been served, and I can then “get over it”. Fake apologies and remorse just to get million dollar contracts really don’t impress me. People don’t realize that the whole act was part of his PR image and I’m sure part of his probation requirements as well. I’m just not that easily impressed as some gullible people are, I guess.

If Michael Vick did get saved and become a man of God, then to be honest I still would want nothing to do with him, ever.  But everyone has the right to choose who their friends are. But then again, President Obama is supposedly a “Christian”, and I would want nothing to do with him either – because his morals and belief system just don’t mesh with mine. So we all have a choice, and Michael Vick is just someone I would never choose to associate with, because I just love animals too much, and someone who would cruelly treat animals like that is someone I would never have anything in common with, because one of my God-given missions is rescuring animals.

If other people want to “get over it”, that is their opinion, but don’t force it onto me as I’m trying to listen to songs that I enjoy on Christian radio.

Some Christians get very upset about abortion, well some of us Christians feel just as strongly about the rights of innocent animals to have their lives as well.

Forgive me, but I choose to be an advocate and friend of helpless, abused animals rather than that evil scumbag Michael Vick.

Eric and other listeners need to realize that there are many animal lovers like me who will never “get over” people like Michael Vick. I would be betraying my animal friends if I did, and they are much more important to me than psychos like Michael Vick. It really makes me sick that somebody like him is even venerated in the medium. But then again,  we are all supposed to smile and sing along and “get over it” in the name of the football god, but I’ve always hated football my whole life anyway. So I guess that is my sin.

The woman who says I need to “get over it” needs to read the rest of the Bible that says we are to shun evil. So maybe she needs to “get over it”. But then again those poor dead dogs can’t speak for themselves, so they are relying on people like me who won’t just flip on the Pittsburgh Steeler games on their TV sets so they can “get over it”.  Michael Vick had a choice – his dogs didn’t.

my daughters are grown, but no, I never had trouble getting to wear a coat, however, we lived in Miami, Fl, so we didn't get very cold. But, there is a young Middle school girl I see every morning and she NEVER has a coat on.  I live in Austin, TX and it is from the 20's to 60's in the morning.  This morning it was in the 40's and she had on a short sleeve.  I say to myself when I see her, isn't this child cold?  Me I am in my care with the heater in the 80's with a coat on and scarf and gloves.  Maybe these kids of tuffer skin then us.

I didnt start listening to this station until about a month or so ago. My boss listens to it everyday in our work truck. And ive started listening to it in mine. I cant change it. A month isnt over yet! lol
I heard on here if you at least ...listen to it for a month. That god will work through the station on us, and he's done a lot of work on me and he isnt done with me yet.  I was once told by a preacher that god wasnt ready for me, that it wasnt my time yet... What does that mean? I thought he was always ready for his children. From that point on i kinda drifted away. Since Ive started listening to this station I feel like he's ready for me now. Everyday is a strugle for me. Temptation... the devil fights us hard and he lies to us & tells us what sounds good, but isnt! God has been there for me everyday! And I just want to thank him for being there for me and not just for me.. for everyone!
Its been awhile back but I feel like i need to share this story with you all...
My mother and i had a fight so i took off walking. We lived out in the middle of no where. I walked down this dirt road about 5-6 miles or so It was starting to get dark out. I heard this noise in the brush. About that time i seen a lion coming closer to me. All I could think about was a childrens story i heard growing up. Daniel in the lions den. I was scared! I asked god to not let this creature be hungry. This lion and I walked in a circle, eye to eye and I never turned my back on him praying the whole time. The lion turned and went back into the woods where he came from. I was still miles from any other road or house. so i walked and prayed and rejoiced thanking god for still being alive.
Thank you Lord for your many blessings that you have givin to me and I praise you for it everyday!

I decided from when i filled it with money, that i wanted to give it to people on the street, but i never saw anyone, till we were leaving the store, I decided to give it to her, i didnt have any dollar bills, it was just quarters, but i thought thats better then nothing.

Hi Guys- I wanted to respectfully share what I feel is constructive critisism.  About 3 different times right after the new year began, I heard comments made on your show (it might have been the other couple), definately K-love.  Anyway, the 1st time I heard this it was Kelly talking about how you were only going to listen to christian music and how it makes you a better person and other music does the opposite.  I heard similar comments a 2nd time, I think by Scott only this time, at the end there was a plug for sending in money.  The 3rd time I heard a comment was from a guy calling in who said that her only listened to christian music and that any other music was "garbage".  "Garbage in, garbage out" he said.  That was the deciding factor for me.  I would contact you with my feelings:

1. I don't think it's right to publicly critisise music that isn't "Christian music".  That shows a lack of good manners, knowldege of music and respect for God.  God has given non-christians the talent they have and that is His blessing upon them...and us.
2. I don't think Beethoven, Bach, Rachmoninoff, Glen Miller, the Dorsey Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, Judy Garland, Dinah Shore, The Beach Boys, The Lettermen, Herb Alpert, Carlos Santana, CCR, Vince Gill, Martina McBride, Brooks & Dunn, The Everly Brothers, Willie & Waylon, Johnny Mathis, The Carpenters, The Jacksons,Tony Bennet, Andy Williams, Julie Andrews, James Taylor, John Denver, Bob Marley, Ray Charles, and countless others who have blessed mankind with beautiful music deserve such negative critisism.  You know, the work of Tchicovskey's "Dance of the Sugar Plum Fairies" is as loved...even more so than when it was penned.  His music never becomes obsolite but has lasted through the ages.
Be careful not to critisise what God has blessed.  These folks didn't live perfect lives and neither did any Christian who ever lived... but we know better than to judge any of them or cast the first stone. Let's just make wise music choices and leave the holier than thou critisism alone.
By the way, the plug for sending in money at the end of the 2nd time I heard this critisism really turned me off.  I love our Lord Jesus.  Iam a worship leader in my church.  I have walked with Jesus for 36 years, I highly revere and value Christian music but I know that having heard the "Moonlight Sonata" or "Tocata & Fuge in D minor" or listnened to "Sing, Sing, Sing" or even having sung along with John Denver or Judy Collins has made me a better person. All praise and glory to God for touching our hearts with the music of these talented and blessed "secular" music people.
In Love I write to you.
Thank you,
Renee' Olson
