Let's talk the most obvious of all fall flavors.

Pumpkin Spice Oreos, Pumpkin Spice Salami, Pumpkin Spice Hamburgers!
Don't get me wrong, I love the IDEA of pumpkin spice. Who doesn't?
There's something about #pumpkinspice that reminds us ALL of cozy things like Thanksgiving and crunchy autumn leaves and chunky sweaters.
But when we get right down to the nitty gritty of the actually taste and flavor?? Not a fave.
So if that's the case, why is that when we pull into the drive-thru at you-know-where and we see the glorious pictures of the sierra-colored foam and caramel dripping down the sides of the latte do we find ourselves ordering PUMPKIN SPICE???
Somehow, we forget.
We think, "I'll order this pumpkin spice thing and my life will finally make sense. All the things I've been praying for will finally come together."
It's a lie.
Good news!! I found a recipe for a pumpkin spice smoothie thing that's actually healthy AND we get to indulge in our fall moment.
1 cup fresh pumpkin (or canned)
1 cup vanilla almond milk
1/2 frozen banana
sprinkle of cinnamon
Blend and serve.
(203 calories if you're counting).
