About John Waller

Connect with John Waller

Georgia native John Waller pours his heart and soul into his new song “Yes” off his latest album As For Me and My House.

“It’s about the clarity that comes when we remove anything that takes the place of God,” explains John. “There have been a lot of idols in my life in the last couple of years—one being music. Wanting to make it and be established as a Christian artist became an idol in my life. I came to a place where I said, ‘I’m done doing that! I’m done building my kingdom, Lord I give it all to you.’”

Previously leader of the band “According to John,” John Waller’s solo work has continued to educate and encourage his listeners in their walk with Christ. His song “While I’m Waiting” was featured in the inspirational movie “Fireproof” in 2008 and his aforementioned “Yes,” co-written by John, Jason Hoard and Third Day’s Mac Powell, emphasizes the truth of God’s promises.

“Every believer that I know can relate to the fact that life doesn’t go the way we plan it all the time,” John says, “but the Bible promises all things work for the good for those who love Him and are called according to His purpose. Things have not gone the way I thought they would go, but God has always been good to me.”
