People lined up and using sparkles sticks to write JULY 4th at night

Happy 4th of July from our families to yours! We hope that you enjoy celebrating America's birthday as much as we do.  We found some great resources to help make sure that your 4th of July celebration is both safe and fun.  We have you covered from the ultimate guide for your road trip to pool safety and fireworks safety, where to get 4th of July shopping deals and my favorite recipe for BBQ ribs!

Food is a big part of our 4th of July celebrations, if you want to up your hot dog game, here is some help! And for baby back ribs the will have everyone talking... Try my favorite recipe!

It is called the 3 - 2 -1 ribs method:  I have a smoker, but it can be done on any grill, just remember that great ribs take patience! The whole process will take you six hours, because the key is to cook them 'low and slow'!

First, you will need to remove the membrane from the back portion of the ribs, then pat dry and cover in your favorite dry rub.

Second, set the temp on your grill or smoker to between 185 - 200 degrees, and place the ribs on the grill (rib side down) for 3 hours.

Third, remove the ribs, cover them in foil and top them with a few pads of butter, some brown sugar and drizzle of honey or agave syrup. wrap tightly and put them back on the smoker for 2 hours at 225.

And finally, remove the foil and baste the ribs in your favorite BBQ sauce and continue to cook for 1 additional hour. Hence the name 3-2-1 ribs!  The meat should be falling off the bone!

Have a Happy 4th of July!
