Rachael Lampa has been considered a new artist over the past year, but she’s no stranger to singing of God’s greatness.
During a recent visit to the K-LOVE Studios in Franklin, Tennessee, the Nashville resident joined K-LOVE DJ Lauree for an enlightening conversation on what has become quite a comeback to the music industry.
After signing a record deal at the age of 14, Lampa went on to produce hit after hit on the Christian charts – but seven years later, she wanted to do anything other than sing.

“When I left [the industry], I had no plan for when I was coming back,” Lampa recalled. “But when I left, I was like, ‘I have to be able to let this go, because this is my whole identity right now.’ Everything is wrapped up in it. Everything is just this one big music, Jesus, people, plump, and it didn't feel right… But it's not only that, it's like now that I am doing it again, I'm still letting it go, and I think those are the words that God has given me to stay in that place.”
After earning honors for Breakout Single of the Year winner for her hit, “Perfectly Loved,” at the 2023 K-LOVE Fan Awards, Lampa has proven she still has a knack for this line of work – and she’s never lost sight of the fact God is with her every step of the way.
“I've been singing so much about His love for us – that we are loved, that it's OK to be loved,” Lampa said. “But understand that God loves us and likes us, and we can too. We can love and like ourselves. It's OK. He can do so much with somebody that's living like their love.”
