Jeanice Lee meets with the Event and Media Manager of Animal Friends of the Valleys, Carolina Calderon. Animal Friends of the Valleys in years past has opened their doors to over 8,000 animals such as dogs, cats, rabbits and small farm animals with over a 90% adoption rate. They can house up to over 300 animals and every day they intake new animals. Carolina talks about their foster and adoption process and they do offer vet and senior discounts. All animals are spayed and neutered prior to being adopted out. Animal Friends of the Valleys does offer low cost microchipping and vaccination clinics plus they offer grants to people who may need some financial assistance including and they have access to a pet food pantry available to anyone during shelter hours.
