Jeanice Lee talks with Sharon Carlson, Board Chair with Douglas County Cancer Services (DCCS). DCCS is a volunteer driven, non-profit which provides support, services and resources to Douglas County residents undergoing cancer treatment free of charge. People with cancer and their families can be devastated physically, emotionally, mentally and financially. Carlson shares about the services DCCS provide such as travel assistance (gas cards to get to and from treatments), financial aid (rent, utilities), food cards for groceries, wigs, hats, turbans, scarves, prosthesis, bras and Christmas food boxes for cancer patients and their families.
