Felipe Aguilar talks with Maria Ramos, Founder and Executive Director, El Hogar De Ayuda El Refugio. EHDAER serves Puerto Rico by providing rehabilitation and recovery services to women caught up in a life of addiction to drugs and other life-controlling substances. Ramos explains why she believes that drug addiction is both a Public Health and Public Safety issue and she provides examples that make a case for both. Ramos also shares the success story of a former addict transformed by the help she received at the home.
